Pros: Good size for home/office. Easy setup for printer and wi-fi, 20 minutes from box to print. Color prints are as good and as fast as advertised. Cons: Ink cartridge costs, flimsy plastic paper tray. My fifth Epson - average usage is five years

Artisan Printer

The Artisan 725 printer is very large. The photo paper from HP (my old computer) comes out grainy. So, I had to buy new paper. Sometimes you have to re-feed the photo paper or it will get stuck. It takes 6 inks and they are all separate. I have only had to replace 2 and I have had the printer for almost a year- 9 months. It prints well a little tricky to figure out at first but it does everthing I need it to do and it was on sale! Very large on my desk!

Nice all in one printer

I love this printer, but I wish it had "Bluetooth" technology for PRINTING as well as wireless. I use both PC & Mac computers, and since Mac OSX uses built-in Bluetooth, it would be great. The only problem is with an older Artisan 700. The internal ink pads expired WAY to soon, requiring me to buy this printer. They are not a user serviceable item. It costs more to replace than to repair them. Are you listening Epson?

Why I Bought A Second Epson Artisan 725 Artic Ed.

Myfirst Artisan 725 Artic does a terrific job of color printing photos of flowers taken at Longwood GardensConservatory . My favorite feature: plug in an external CD/DVD burner at the USB port to download memory cards. Remove memory card, then print from CD/DVD. tHE PRINTER SAVES EACH DOWNLOAD IN A SEPARATE ENVELOPE ,easy to retreave and print later. The second Artisan 725 Artic is my backup in case they are no longer available in future, as happened with my old favorite Stylus 340.

Printer

The printer is good for printing general stuff and making copies. However, when I tried to make prints from the 4X5 glossy paper, it smudged very badly every time. I tried 4 pieces of the glossy paper, it just would not make a smudge free print. It was badly smudged. I have another Epson that works great to make prints. If the printer could print well on glossy paper without smudging badly the way it does, I would probably give it at least 4 starts.
