Quite pleased with the printer. Have a ten year old computer that recently went wireless and wanted a wireless printer. Good paper prints, excellent photo prints. Very easy wireless setup. REALLY. I just followed the directions. NOTE: if you want to print directly from your iPhone or iPad this is not a "airprinter". You will need to download an iepson printer app. Haven't quite figured that out yet. Am happy with my purchase-didn't want to spend the extra money for a printer that works with "AirPrint".

Epson Aritisan 725

I've been using this printer a lot for printing on my DVDs and it has done a great job. I have had just a few issues with the wireless networking on this printer. It requires me to type in my router password each time I turn on the printer. Not sure if there is a way to save it but will research this out later.

I bought this printer to replace a 15 year old Epson that served me well over the years but who's time had come. I am very satisfied with the Artisan 725 so far. I have used most of the features (printing text and photos, 2-sided printing, copying, scanning, printing to DVD disks, wireless printing) and am happy with everything it has done. It is quiet and fast.
The only thing I don't know yet is ink usage but I don't expect this printer will be much different than any others as far as that goes.
As I said I am very happy with this printer and I highly recommend it.

Complex tasks but set up is simple and this printer is so easy to operate. Beautiful photo printing, fast printing. I'm amazed. I've been an Epson fan for many years. This printer just solidifies why I like this brand so much.

Nice look and easy installation

The Arctic Edition is a nice white color and goes nicely on the desktop. Its a little larger than I expected, but not overly large considering its a printer, scanner, copier with duplex capability. Have printed on CD's already and the output is outstanding if you use the correct media with a white inkjet background. Have not yet tried the scanner/copier function yet.

Lousy paper feed

After a year the paper feed mechanism stopped working. The sound of grinding gears heralded the death of this unit and the end of my relationship with Epson.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson Artisan 725 all-in-one printer

I really like the quality of the printer. The photos on premium glossy media are excellent and on plain b&w paper the text is excellent. The scanner copy format in color and b&w is very good. I have been successful in printing titles with photos on DVDs that are very good. The onlydraw back is the price of the ink, although it is very good . I have used the printer for a few months.

Artisan 725 - best of series
on March 23, 2012

I've had all the direct-on-disc printers (R-series, RX's) and Artisans have some Best-Ever features.
Instead of refusing to print from low-ink levels (like the R-series) or pretending to microscopically realign perfectly (like the RX series - yeah, riiiight), Artisans have a tube of ink remaining so all Cartridge Changes occur at the end of a completed print-job.
The disk-feed-mechanism feels a bit flimsy. I don't know how this will handle the thousands of disk printings I've done like others have, but it seems like the best-by-comparison alternative. Artisans are LARGE, however - deeper than RX's and R's by a couple of inches.
