This is a really great unit, I'm thinking about buying another one for myself. I'm amazed at all the stuff it can do... even 2 sided.

Neat Printer

The Artisan 725 is a really neat printer. No problem to set up and so far no problem at all. I purchased this as a replacement for the Photo RX620. This one seems so much better. Have not tried the scanner yet but photos print really good even in grey scale/ black and white. I don't like the cost of the ink, but it seems all manufactures charge that way. Could just about buy a new printer each time I need ink.

Penguins don't live in the arctic....
I didn't think this printer was still available which would be a shame. Simply put... BUY IT. I don't care about the color, BUY IT. Even if it isn't on sale, BUY IT.
I was tired of the usual brands we'd had for years. So many problems. Bought a 725 (in black) and WOW. What a difference ! Set up is easy, kid's lap-tops and 1 other wifi desk-top work great.
We've used it now maybe 8 months and really think it's tremendous. Only feature I haven't tried yet is the CD/DVD print thingy....
It's a pleasure to use. Good on ink, never jams, goes to sleep when its supposed to...
You really should BUY IT !!
I thought, seriously, about buying another one to put away in case this one ever dies.. it's that good (honest).
BUT, if you do a lot of photo's, take them to the pharmacy.. that's why I gave it only 4 stars. They're OK, but not as incredible as everything else. It's like the genius behind everything else went to the Vineyard a couple days early and didn't make the meetings so they used someone else's ideas instead... but really, BUY IT. You'll thank me later.

Since I just got my printer, I cannot speak to its reliability or durability. It has been great so far though! The whole start up process (starting with taking the printer out of the box) took 30 minutes tops! It was the easiest setup I have ever experienced with a printer and it set up to work wirelessly from my Mac and Iphone with no issues. I even printed out a pic from my phone that looked fantastic! I hope to have this printer for a very long time:)

When I received my Epson artisan 725 about 1 month ago I wrote a review regarding how easy it was to set up and connect wireless. Now that I have used my printer for about a month I would like to comment on the printer itself. I love this printer. I have printed documents, photos, copies from magazines, scanned articles to my computer and love the results. Clear print, great color. and the ease of printing 4x6 is wonderful. I did have a problem with it feeding too many pages during printing, but after reading the loading paper instructions again, I identified the problem. I was not making sure the paper was under the guides...mainly missing the back guide. I also found the suggestion to "fan" the paper before loading helped also. now I have no problem with the paper feed.

This printer runs very well and makes great copies. Had trouble getting it hooked up for wireless operation and used a usb cable connection instead, and that worked just fine. Have yet to print a photo, however if it comes out as good as the regular printing, then I would say everything is golden.
