I have owned at least five Epson printers and up until now they have all performed well. This one fails the test and should not have the Epson name attached to it. It is cheaply made, does not perform near as well as past Epson printers and has been a headache since I set it up 3 months ago. If this is what Epson is now producing it will be my last Epson printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not do business cards

I have not found a way to print Avery stock business cards with this printer. It consistently thinks the heavy stock is a mis-loaded CD and extends the CD tray. Epson on-line help was useless in solving the problem. I can believe the printer might not be able to do business cards through the duplexer but there should be some way to manually feed a sheet and bypass the duplexer. So far I've not found that way.
Otherwise, the printer / scanner works well for other normal work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Printer

This is by far the best printer I have bought. I no longer have to worry about losing the cd tray, as I did with the Epson R220. It was a little difficult to set up, but with a little patience, it was well worth it. Congratulations Epson!

I absolutely love my new Artisan 725 printer. It is completely user friendly in every aspect. It has impecibly clear printing. It makes beautiful copies. My new printer has been heavily used over the past few weeks without a problem. In fact, I love it so much I am considering purchasing another. My new Artisan 725 printer has performed outstandingly in every way. Actually, it has performed much better than I expected. Thank you Epson for making such a wonderful product.

Great printer

Great job until one wishes to print two sided on card stock with design calling for full inking. The paper becomes slightly moist, and tendency to curl, which causes the Artisan 725 to reject it as not properly situated in the paper tray when printing the second side. I was able to let the sheets dry some, then manually re-roll the paper flatter, and then this printer and I became working partners again...the cd/dvd printing tray is a great piece of design, big improvement over my older favorite the R280 for cd printing..thanks Epson.

Easy!

Wow! I had this up and running in minutes and printed a picture from my iPhone in less than 5 minutes after that. It's fast and the picture quality is excellent. The getting started instructions were easy to follow and there was no guessing what to do next. The scanner was a pleasant surprise too. It puts an scanning icon on your desktop. Just click and choose what you want to scan and it's there. Highly recommended.

Easy set-up had me printing within 30 minutes

I just got my Artisan 725 Arctic Edition printer dropped off today. The set-up and install was so easy I was printing Cds within 30 minutes of install.
The printer is bigger than I thought, but it's an all in one, with scanner and ability to print high quality photos. The printer connected to my wireless network with ease. The Arctic white, looks great. The on board Cd printer tray works incredibly well, and is miles above the Stylus 300 I was using. I'll spend more time with it in the coming weeks, but set-up and my first test made me fall in love with this printer. At this price the printer seems of excellent quality. Very happy with my purchase thus far.

After seeing the ability of this printer to restore old photos to new, I was sold. I have many old photos from my parents and grand parents that I was considering having re-done. The cost has always held me back. The picture of my family I took from my wallet they restored at the store right in front of my eyes sold me. I have used it here at home and still am amazed at the quality of the pictures coming out. I would highly reccomend this Epson 725 to anyone.
