Artisan 725 All-in-one printer

I have been buying Epson Printers for over 10 years and I used to print a lot; literally wore out many of them and probably have owned over 25 printers in those 10 years. I purchased this to replace an Artisan 50 Photo printer that was a piece of junk. So far this prints fine... I wasn't expecting the tray that feeds the source document and the adjustable guides are cheap and very difficult for me to use. This would have been enough to keep me from buying it.

Good but not great

This printer is very easy to set up. I set it up as a wireless network printer, so that we can print to it from several different computers, and this was very easy to do. It produces good quality prints, and if you use good quality paper (like the Epson Ultra Premium paper), it produces spectacular results. However, it is not a great printer due to the paper handling. The 8 X 10 paper tray is very small, and only holds a limited number of sheets - much less than the specs would suggest before it gets constipated and jams. In addition, it is fussy to load properly, and tends to jam.
In conclusion, this is a very nice printer that is let down by mediocre paper handling. This was carried over from the Artisan 710 series (my previous printer), but I got a new one when the 710 died (due to a CD jamming it) because the print quality is so good.

I just bought my All-in-one Artisan 725 printer. I love the printing quality and color brightness. It was so easy set up and follow the instructions for my Mac. So far exceed my expectations. Love the color, love the design!

My Workhorse Printer

After two weeks using my Artisan 725 All-in-One I feel a little more comfortable sharing my experiences. It's usually a bit of a threat to put aside a perfectly good All-in-One from a different manufacturer, but I was able to use the Artisan, as it turns out, with great comfort and even a bit of glee. I publish a senior newsletter every month for my local Senior Center. I just finished the December Issue--2 weeks in advance and 20 pages long! The auto selection for two-sided printing was so easy; I even printed CDs with scans of the first page of the newsletter. Of course the photos (I use many) and the print is clear. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with this printer. And in our family we have 3 computers and use the wireless option with ease!

THIS IS MY SECOND EPSON INKJET ALL IN ONE PRINTER AND I ASSURE YOU IT WON'T BE MY LAST. AFTER MANY YEARS AND THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF PRINT, COPY & SCAN JOBS IT FINALLY WORE OUT. I PURCHASED THE ARTISAN 725 ARTIC EDITION BECAUSE IT HAS THE SAME CAPABILITIES OF MY OLD ONE PLUS TWO SIDED PRINTING AND WIRELESS PRINTING AND SCANNING FEATURES AND WAS ON SALE FOR A GREAT PRICE. I AGAIN HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH MY DECISION. FANTASTIC VALUE FOR THE MONEY. PRINTS CD'S & DVD'S EVEN EASIER THAN MY OLD PRINTER, WHICH IS AN IMPORTANT FEARURE TO ME AND ONE I USE AT LEAST SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. THE PRINT QUALITY IS STUNNING! I CAN NOW PRINT DIRECTLY TO THE ARTISAN 725 WITHOUT ANY OTHER COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO IT OR ON. WITH A LAPTOP, NETBOOK, TABLET AND TWO IPHONES THAT IS AN FANTASTIC NEW FEATURE! I AM CONFIDENT I WILL HAVE MANY YEARS OF GREAT QUALITY SERVICE FROM MY NEW EPSON ARTISAN 725 ARTIC EDITION AND CAN CONFIDENTLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I ALREADY RECOMMENDED IT TO A FRIEND WHO ORDERED ONE YESTERDAY.

Artison 725 All-In-1 Artic Edition

Features I like: *Separate Photo Tray *Recessed Scanner *Duplex Printing *High IQ Photo Printing *14" Paper Tray *Cheap Ink Replacements *2/blue, 2/red/ ink wells plus yellow and Black
Features I don't like *Epson's Wifi....I never had the option to input my Password during set with the recommended USB connection to set up WiFi... and it didn't work with printer direct input from the printers keypad... This is the second Epson printer that had WiFi set-up difficulties. (Win 7/64 on a Dell 1764 Laptop. 8gig Ram)
Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent Scanner/Printer...and a great bargain. If you print photos, and scan photo's, this is the one to get! You may have better luck with the WiFi than I did... A wired connection is not a deal breaker for me. It is much better than the the NX or Workforce series for Photo's. And the white case looks cool ;-)
