This machine performs very poorly. It will not print on anything heavier than 24# bond. I am unable to print postcards or greeting cards as it constantly goes to a jam with postcard or greeting card paper. Also, the black is more of a dark grey than black. I purchased this printer as I had used the 1800 for photos and regular printing and was very happy with that machine, but this machine disappoints me a great deal.
I've had a number of Epson printers in the past. At this time I wanted a network printer and this printer was on sale from Epson at a great price. I have three computers on my wireless network, two with no print capabilities.
I placed the printer 30 feet from the nearest computer, so during the setup I had to walk a bit. The printer found my network on its own. The drivers needed an update for my WIN7, but it was handled seamlessly.
Since I have just set up the printer and only test printed, I have yet to try a photo. As always I'm impressed with Epson products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had an Epson Artisan 700 until the dreaded ink pad notice, which said it would die soon. I bought the 725 because I knew the print quality would be similar. I had some trouble with 8.5 x 11" and 8x10" paper with the 700, but I usually made it work. I have yet to be able to print on large photo paper with the 725 . I've reinstalled the driver and tried several different kinds of paper and settings, but nothing has worked. I don't have the $ to get another printer right now. Arghhh.

this was a night mare to set up. We are seriously thinking about returning the printer. Not satisfied at all with the printer.

My printer arrived yesterday. Very easy to set up. Printed out (2) 8.5x11 pictures as this is mainly why I bought it and they were perfect. Great software.

Purchased this unit as a replacement for an older Epson. The sale price was $100 off, and a one day offer of an additional 10%, making it a no brainer compared to the repair cost of the older Epson. In fact the tech. said why repair a 4+ yr old machine for the same price as a new up-to-date machine. Installed it in no time, and was surprised how easy it was to include the 725 into my home network, software took on the task in under 1 minute. Some previous reviews indicated that the photo prints were bad - perhaps they didn't read the instructions - photo paper has to be loaded coated side down, as the Artisan group of printers feed paper different from older models. Even if you use non-Epson paper you have to be aware of which side is coated for photo printing and match the brand to the Epson grades. Very satisfied with the output including photo prints. As a previous IT professional, I've been a user of Epson printers almost from the time they were introduced into the business world, ages ago as support devices for mainframe computers. The output of this unit just supports my belief in Epson.
