Easy Installation !!!

It took a few minutes to get this printer started!!!
I even scanned and printed and set up my wireless connection with no problem!! Perhaps the fact that I have a Mac book Pro helps a bit! I haven't seen the quality of photo printing yet but as soon as I buy the paper I'll let you know! I totally recommend this product.

If IT is alien to you?

Yes for a person who used a telephone for the first time at age 15, technology some times is not easy and having to take portraits at an event (on location) and being able to print wirelessly from two computers one windows and one OS X without a hitch is remarkable. So kudos for Epson engineers who worked simplicity to setup and configure. Oh One more thing, the quality of prints is outstanding

read all the reviews. any issues i had seemed to be corrected
after i tweaked the paper, and used/found the correct settings. very
easy set up, used usb cable with my iMac.
photos look good but had some ink smear issues with the sample paper, 4 x 6,
mostly because of the paper was not loaded just right. have to be careful how it is loaded and laying flat in the tray. the photo resolution was great from an email attachment, from a camera card, color good, etc. impressive.
also used 8 x 10 photo paper of another brand and it worked great for me.
physically not as big as some of the other printers on the market in this price range. i like its footprint.
the first copies from the computer where not good. i corrected the problem from the epsom work screen on the printer. all the messy lines cleared up, and the copies are printing great now.
did not give a 5 because i would have liked to see the quick guide with more detailed explanations, and the cd tray is a nuisance for me, for a while it would not stay in its place. for whatever reason that problem seemed to correct itself. a little touchy this one, but we are getting along famously now.

Top Notch Printer

Excellent home or small business printer. The Arctic edition 725 is my favorite of many Epson printers I have had in the past. This is an ideal printer/all-in-one for home use. I highly recommend it.
Very easy to set up WiFi. I had to call with one question and customer service, as always with Epson, was fast and provided the answer I needed with courtesy and understanding.
I have used Epson products for many years in the business I managed and they are always reliable and give the best quality printing.

Epson 725,825 series

Replacement for very old & very heavily used Epson RX580- Been using a borrowed Artisan 825 for a while.
Great pics from the Artisan 725/825 units // easy menu & choices for printing photos. ( my primary use ) Scanning is effortless & accurate. Changing ink or paper is a breeze. Two sided printing ( B & W ) is almost magic. BUT !!!
- Do NOT try to use card stock or heavy grade, high-quality photo paper! Unlike the RX series, paper feed is from the front, and the 725 does not seem to be able to handle a heavier grade of paper : it feeds from the front & makes a u-turn before printing. About 1/3 of the time it will jam with anything but standard 20lb paper. Family pics for the gang : Great! Serious photographers : Stay away from this one !

Early on, printer is good, but on the flimsy side

Just received the printer two days ago and am installing it now.
Seems pretty good, but paper tray seems quite flimsy. I hope it doesn't break.
Also, network printing is very slow from other computers in the house. Don't know if it's due to my network or the printer, but if this continues, I'll have to find a different way to print from computers around the house.
Am looking forward to seeing how it prints on CD/DVDs and how good the colors are with the 6-color inks.

Jams if you don't use standard paper
on October 28, 2011

I have had many Epson printers over the years including a 7600 which is wonderful. But the Artisian 720 - while it prints beautifully - jams every time I use anything but standard 8.5x11 paper. Even using Epson Photo paper each and every time I print it jams and takes several, and I mean several, attempts to get a sheet to go through. Not sure what the problem is but I've never had this much trouble with a printer ever. Wish there was a solution!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
