I purchased GE because my previous washer lasted 20 years, no problems.

Wonderful Washing Machine

My old washer decided to die the day before Thanksgiving so my fiance and I purchased this washer as a replacement. We are SO happy with it! I think it washes better than the old agitator model we had and I like it not having the agitator so the lace on my undershirts doesn't get caught and torn. I like the water sensing feature b/c that saves us water and therefore money each month. You just have to be careful to not put it on the heavy cycle or add extra rinses b/c that does make the wash take longer; I only use that if something is really really dirty. I also use a washer cleaning tablet once every few months and run it with hot water just to clean the basket. I would recommend GE washers to anyone.

I don't understand everyone else's problems. I use HE compliant soap and softener. I periodically make sure it's still balanced (every 3 to 6 months) i don't over load it, and it's been working perfect. I suggest people having problems refer to a DIY book for regular washing machine maintenance. It's not that difficult to keep this running for years.

Got this washer primarily for the price it was but fell in love with it after I got my first water bill! Water bill was about $40 less than the previous month! It was hard to get used to the low water level but after you get over it you realize you didn't need it. I always run it on the heavy cycle and use only cold water and my clothes are alwasys clean. I've even stuffed a king size comfortor in there and had it come out clean. Highly reccommend this product!

Purchased this washer in early December. Was back at the store wanting to return it in 2 weeks (they have a 30 day return policy). They talked me into keep trying to adjust to it. Unfortunately, I did. Never had such a bad product - doesn't clean, leaves lint., etc. Give me the traditional agitator marchine. Nothing is saved when you have to wash it 2 or 3 times.The company should refund everyone who got stuck with one. No wonder they don't make this model anymore. I will never buy a GE product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE Should replace this washer for all customers that bought it!!!!!! I dont know how GE will stay in business selling this kind of junk. I will not buy GE again.
