LEAKING WATER

GTWN4950LOWS /LV112470G WASHER IS A FEW YEARS OLD . IS NOW LEAKING WATER FROM UNDER FRONT RIGHT CONER, BEHIND THE LEG LEVER.

Clothes don't get clean

This is the worst washer I have EVER owned. It leaves the clothes still dirty, with soap residue. I have tried everything, and my clothes still never come clean. I have to wash every load at least twice and with the 2nd rinse on.

Leaves too much lint!

Even when following directions completely--there is alot of lint left on dark clothing. The only way that I have found to resolve this is to do a very small wash load and use a double rinse-negating the energy savings

Agree with several others. Lint is left on all dark clothes. Wrinkles are terrible. Tried using smaller loads still doesn't help. I use HE detergent, but still doesn't help. Not sure clothes are at all clean. Any refund would be appreciated.
Purchased in Nov of 2011 but didn't use until 12 of 2012 because of new construction. Being using now for 3 months and HATE it.

Very short life product due to poor design

The washer only worked for 2 years and 10 months!!! After taking the unit apart it was found that the "water seal" ("seal tub") was leaking because the "carbon steel inner structure" inside the "rubber coating" was completely corroded and deformed. The leak finally caused damage to the "shaft and tube assembly" ("clutch system") and the "motor PC Board" to burn which made it unfeasible to repair the unit. Finally I proceeded to buy another washer, not GE of course!!! During the next 12 months I will be replacing my refrigerator, dishwasher, dryer and microwave oven and definitively I will think twice before choosing GE, which is the brand I have purchased during the past 15 years.

Lint Problems

I would say this is a good washing machine because I like several things about it but the main problem I've had with it is the fact that it leaves a lot of lint on dark clothing. Because of this problem I find myself rewashing a lot and that kind of defeats the purpose of an HE washer. Clothes shouldn't come out of the washer in worse shape than when they went in. I'm ready for an old school washer again.

Worst washer EVER!!! Total waste of money!

First off, I gave this washer a rating of "1" because I couldn't give it "0" stars. This is the 3rd washer I've owned and by far the worst! I was sold by the Lo water "feature" which proved to be not worth the few dollars I was SUPPOSED to save on my water bill! Had to rewash loads, using the fabric softener cup left spots on my clothes, and after my 1 yr. warranty expired, I started having problems with it not agitating/spinning and making terribly loud clanking noises when it did decide to agitate. No wonder GE discontinued this model...it's a genuine piece of junk. Don't take one of these washers if someone gives it to you!!!!

Ge washer, what a nightmare!!!

I bought it 3 years ago, but it was never good. It made a lot of noise and does not wash good.Right now is making a loud noise.
