works great if you don't mind buying line and rewinding the existing spool. there are no replacement spools available!

I bought this because I wanted something light that was easy to use. I'm recently widowed. I'm a senior. This thing is a piece of garbage. It rips grass out. It doesn't cut it. It's absolutely terrible. Don't waste your money. I'm so disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is really great. Takes approximately two hours for it to charge the battery. It’s great because it’s not gas powered perfect for trimming around flowers and other areas. I use this trimmer a lot and i absolutely love it and the ease of using it.

Can't get replacement spool

I'm giving this only one star simply because you can't get a replacement string. Judging by the reviews for the replacement spool it's never in stock.

Planned obsolescence?

I bought mine a short while ago and after maybe a total of 20 hours (coincidentally just one month out of warranty) of use it just stopped working. Otherwise, it's performance was great and I loved being able to trim my whole 3/4 acre yard on a single charge.
The original battery is fine as I also have other 24V SunJoe tools that use the same battery. Best I can tell is that the internal circuitry must have shorted out or something akin to that because the trimmer doesn't turn on at all.
The trimmer unit was treated well and worked fine up to the point it just stopped working at all, almost as if an internal timer had gone off. I miss using my trimmer and am now having to look for a new one.

This is perfect for keep up with the weeds between lawn maintenance. I would recommend. The battery hold a good charge and I only charge it every few sessions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's super convenient not having to have an extension like on an electric one, and the battery charges quick. It looks like very good quality. The only con is that it is heavier than the one we had previously.
