Good Trimmer, but no replacement string.

I like the trimmer, but cannot get any replacement string, which I have been trying to get since last year. I should have read the reviews here before buying the product. It was a waste of money as I cannot use it anymore.

Planned obsolescence?

I bought mine a short while ago and after maybe a total of 20 hours (coincidentally just one month out of warranty) of use it just stopped working. Otherwise, it's performance was great and I loved being able to trim my whole 3/4 acre yard on a single charge.
The original battery is fine as I also have other 24V SunJoe tools that use the same battery. Best I can tell is that the internal circuitry must have shorted out or something akin to that because the trimmer doesn't turn on at all.
The trimmer unit was treated well and worked fine up to the point it just stopped working at all, almost as if an internal timer had gone off. I miss using my trimmer and am now having to look for a new one.

Lightweight & Robust!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sun Joe Cordless String Trimmer is much longer than expected and that’s before extending the telescopic pole, it also has an adjustable handle so it can be used comfortably by a tall person. It is lightweight, even with the battery connected. The battery charges in around 2 hrs and includes a charge level indicator, it does not need to run flat before recharging either. The trimmer can be used to trim grass that is hard to get to with the lawn mower or it can be used to edge pathways and borders, it is easy to switch between trimming and edging, just the press of a button. An edger guide and flower guard is included to prevent any accidental damage to plants and shrubs. I found it easy to trim my borders and pathway with this trimmer with the added bonus of not having to worry about the cord.

Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little hesitant about a battery operated anything, But my gas powered weed eater just was not cutting it. This beats out pulling my shoulder out of its socket just trying to start my other weed eater. This battery operated trimmer is great, literally no muss, no fuss. Charge the battery, make sure you have string and away you go. There is no oil to manage, no fuel to buy, no additives to add. Plus to start it you simply push in the safety and push a button. So simple! Love that it has the edging wheel. I definitely recommend this to anyone on the fence about the battery powered equipment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I we love the Sun Joe Cordless String Trimmer Kit. This is a powerful tool that trims grass and edges quickly and easily. The trimmer runs on a lithium-ion battery that can be charged in under two hours! I love that the trimmer is battery operated, I do not want to have to deal with gas. The battery charge lasts a long time, long enough to get our whole backyard trimmed. The trimmer is also lightweight with under 13 pounds which makes it easy to maneuver and ensures that your arm is not getting too tired either. The telescopic pole allows for a far reach which helps with getting into hard to reach corners behind bushes. If you are looking for a powerful trimmer that also edges then this might be your new best friend!

Perfect weed eater and trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sun Joe trimmer is great. I like the lime green color it makes it stand out. This trimmer is lightweight and easy to use. You can go from trimmer position to edger with the press of a button . The edger is excellent for when you're trimming around flowers so that you don't accidently cut them down. I like that it is cordless and no need for smelly gas. This trimmer also has a telescopic pole that measures out to 5'8" so pretty good size pole to be able to maneuver with. It takes approximately 2 hours to charge the battery and you can run it for about an hour. Best cordless trimmer I have had. I highly recommend this trimmer to someone that is looking for something that is reliable.

Good enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's time to clean up the yard, but I don't have much for lawn, just some small landscaped areas of grass and sidewalk edgers. Not enough to bother with a lawn mower and a hand held trimmer is just fine. I like that this is cordless and lightweight, and especially that it is stringless. I have no desire to get into all that. Since I don't have that much area to deal with the battery life is fine for me, might die out too soon for bigger jobs. Overall it does the job just fine.
