Solid vacuum, solid company

As pet owners (2 dogs and a cat) the Stratos was what we needed. It picks up all the dust and hair they generate. On top of that, Shark stood behind their product 100% when we had an issue. I would definitely buy this one again.

Made cheaper then the apex

They shortened the electric cord removed the light on the handle not happy !

SHARK STRATOS VACUUM CLEANER

II have owed a Dyson for 30 years. It still works, I just felt like it was time to get a new one for the new technology and increased power. I looked at Dyson which only had BALLS and STICKS Vacs. They no longer made the model that I owned and loved. I purchased a HIGH END DYSON BALL VAC and hated it!! No power , flimsy and cheaply made....also way too heavy~. I was very disappointed in Dyson and knew I was going to have to make a change. I looked at reviews for all upright vacs and purchased the SHARK STRATOS. I LOVE IT!!! BEST VACUUM I COULD EVER OWN....I vacuumed my the area rug in my livingroom and the dust canister fill up to the top! I had not been getting this result with my Dyson...I was shocked! I love vacuuming my house now because I know it is getting CLEAN and DEODORIZED! It is also self-propelled and easy to maneuver. I am SOOOO Glad I FOUND THIS VACUUM!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

They ruined the design

Whoever designed this doesn't use a vaccuum. I purchased this to replace an old Shark vaccuum I had and it has the most awkward placement of buttons. Nothing is intuitive. It's like they decided to move their release levers around for no good reason. You have to guess what button does what action because they aren't in a logical location. The cup release button is no longer on top of the cup near the cup handle. That location is where you know find the lift-away button, which makes no sense whatsoever! And when you use the wand features and put them back they don't stay in place. The latches securing them barely work. I've had the whole vacuum suddenly break into 3 pieces while I was using it in standard mode. The light only works when you are vaccuuming the floor. There is no light on the wand. That used to be a grwat feature they had on thier vaccuums. No more! The cord storage gets in the way of the cannister when removing it or putting it back on. They could've moved it a quarter inch and it would be so much better. The handle release is no longer on the front of the handle. It's a large awkward button the back, not easy to use without two hands. If I could return it I would! Swearing off Shark after this fiasco. The only good thing about it is the new roller. Suction is OK but doesn't make up for the other poor design features.

Great shark vacuum as always with one small downside. I wish it had the light on the handle when you disconnect the hand piece or the wand. My old shark had this feature and I loved it. If it wasn’t for the lack of that light it would be 5 star.
I would recommend this to a friend!
