I love my new shark. I have had a shark for years and change to Dyson and was not happy because it didn’t clean as well as the shark. The shark is much easier to use because I don’t have to hold a trigger the whole time and that gets hard with arthritis in your hands even if it’s just a little bit like mine. The pet hair feature is amazing. Much better than other brands.

I’m happy with my new shark but as the saying goes there is nothing like the first!!! I still have my first purple shark and use it frequently. It still has great suction power like my new one..great products.

Love Stratos

We have 3 pets that shed extensively... The Stratos picks up fur without wrapping around the roller..I would literally need to cut the fur off the roller.. No more... Thanks Shark

Shark Never Fails To Deliver A Quality Product!

This is my 4th Shark Vacuum system. My first was the Navigator! And I have never bought a new one because the previous one broke down! They are ALL still working just fine. I just like updating with the latest model from time to time. My daughter has my Navigator and my previous one, the Rotator has been moved to the basement cleaner now! The ONLY reason I did not give the Stratos a 5 star is because I might be old school but I would prefer the old small round "BRUSH" style hand accessory for cleaning wood work and stuff. The new brush style with just the 2 strips of a lint brush type material just doesn't seem to me like it will pick up as well. But that's just me. I understand you are trying to totally eliminate "BRUSHES" for everything because of having to clean the brush styles. But that little brush was never a problem to clean for me. I do LOVE the new self cleaning, NO hair type rollers. Just wish you could "offer" the old style brush as an additional hand accessory that I could purchase as an extra if I wanted. I haven't tried my brush from the Rotator yet but I'm certain it won't fit cause every new vacuum you seem to make the size just different enough so that my old accessories won't fit the new one. They are too big or too small to fit the newer version of your vacuum. But ANYWAY... I am just as in love with the new Stratos as I have been with every other Shark. Great cleaning power that never seems to diminish over time. And the new Oder Defense system is the BEST. That was probably the only thing that I was not happy about was how bad the smell was after a while. I even use to clean the dirt basket to try and help, but I can't believe how great this new one smells, I hope it will continue to smell great with the cartridges.

What an upgrade't

Let me start off saying that I have been a Dyson fan for many years. I like the quality, build and versatility of their uprights. I purchased new highpile carpet with extra thick padding. The Dyson had such a low profile, that it could not be pushed on the carpet. Many people complain that Dyson has too much suction, but this is untrue. The design of Dyson's machine is not meant for thick, high pile carpet. This brings me to my new Shark Stratos. What an upgrade to my old Dyson. It handles the high pile carpet well. I can't way that it gludes across the carpet, because that would mean that it isn't meeting the carpet correctly. There is just enough "pull" against your motions, that you feel comfortable with it cleaning correctly.
I do have one negative comment and I hope the manufacture is actually reading this; the hose needs more extension. If I were to offer a design change, this would be the only mention as of this moment. An extra 16-20" of hose length would make this a perfect machine.
I would recommend anyone that is doing a comparison against a Dyson, or any other brand and as long as it fits into your price range, to consider this vacuum.
I do have one negative comment and I hope the manufacture is actually reading this; the hose needs more extension. If I were to offer a design change, this would be the only mention as of this moment. An extra 16-20" of hose length would make this a perfect machine.

Awesome Vac!

I just got mine this week and used it yesterday for the first time. I was blown away at the ease of use and attachments that made it easy to do the jobs I hated to do. I was also shocked at how much it picked up throughout the house! It made me wonder what was the Kirby doing all this time in my house! The air was fresher and my carpet had the plush it had when we first bought the house 10 years ago. I'm not exaggerating one bit because if it was the opposite, I would say so. I really like the disconnect and keep vacuuming feature as well as the small vacuum head to hit the stairs. I'm so impressed!
