best vacuum

This has been 2months since I purchased this machine it is everything you would want in a vacuum goes from floor to my shag carpet pulls out the dirt like I have never seen before mine you I have owned kenmores,kirby.dyson this beats them hands down love my shark

I have had MANY Shark Vacuums. My last one was the Apex Lift Away. What the Stratos is missing is the light on the wand. This feature for me is EXTREMELY important. The hose also on this one does not clip in which again is important. The suction is really good. If I had to chose again - I would make sure the light was on the wand.

I would give this Shark a much better rating if it was a self propelled backwards as well as "forwards"!!! I'm a 75 year old woman and needless to say have a hard time pulling this heavy vacuum backwards. Oh, it does a fantastic job cleaning the floor and carpets just as it advertises, but I could not find anywhere whether it was self-propelled. I even went to a store where they had it in display and could not find whether it was self-propelled, and,of course, you can't try it out. I ended ordering it on line because it was a better deal than buying it in the store. I was hoping I was going to be able to do the vacuuming but, my husband is going to have to do it!! Or, I am going to have to hire someone to clean my house. Maybe I will have to get one of the vaccines that goes by itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Blows away my Dyson vacuums

I have 4 Dyson vacuums thinking that they were great vacuums. 5 years ago that seemed true for excessive dog hair cleaning. I have 2 full-grown german shepherd dogs in the house most of the time. I got sick of cleaning the rollers every time I used the vacuums. I figured i would try this new Stratus upright vacuum. It is in a completely different high level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I hate the electrical cord on left side! I have had other Shark vacuums and never had a problem with the cord getting nerely sucked in but this one I have. Would never purchase a vacuum with cord on left again!

Best vacuum I have had so far. I have had several Sharks and liked them all. This one has more suction power than any vacuum I owned. Love the attachments too.

I begged for this vacuum for Christmas. I finally got it in January. I’ve barely used this vacuum and now it barely works at all. This is very disappointing. I’ve had the vacuum less than 30 days.
