great features easy use

I had a shark before and it went dead, when to another brand and the even was the worst decision ever it would blow out more dust out the from of the rollers then take in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just received my new vacuum and used it for the first time. Let me tell you my impression:
Pros:
-The power/suction is amazing. I could not believe how much dirt this machine picked up. This is 5 stars over Dyson!
-Easy to put together
-Glides easily under tables
-Swivels easily
-The canister is very large so you do not have to empty as frequently.

Cons:
-Very heavy. Wrist hurt after vacuuming whole house.
-Does not transition well from hardwood floor to carpet. Have to lift the vacuum making it very difficult since it is very heavy.
-No retractable cord
-The opening of the canister is on the top and not the bottom. So this makes it more difficult to empty the canister.

Lightweight really sucks

My wife wanted one for our down stairs as she was tired of carrying our old upright machine up and down the stairs. Wow what a difference it made. I initially bought it because of the lite weight, but was totally blown away by the performance. We had just vacuumed the living room carpet with our old machine the day before and the Shark arrived the next day. Assembled it and tried it out on the "Clean" carpet. The amount of dirt and pet hair it picked up was amazing. We thought out carpet was clean before and had no idea that our old machine was missing so much. Absolutely amazing machine. As a bonus, the noise does not scare our pets as it is so much quieter than the Kirby.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great vacuum for those with pets and or kids

It pulled dirt and dog hair up I didn't know was there. The controls are in a good position on the handle. Separation into the different modes is quick and easy

Great Suction but way too Heavy

I Love Shark Vacumms and I was so excited about this one because of the powerful suction. The suction is as powerful as advertised, so much so that it is way too heavy to push, for me....I literally could not push it at all. I tried it once, on the carpet in my little office/den and had to use 2 hands to push it...1 hand on the vacuum pole and the other on the lift away handle to even move it. When the head swiveled, I had to manually turn the head back to go forward. It is a fabulous vacuum if you have the strength to use it. I don't, so unfortunately have to return it.

I've owned Shark vacuums exclusively for almost 20 years, and this is only my 3rd one, they just last! One I've given away to a friend and the other is still working great. But I couldn't pass up one the improved pet cleaning, and it did not disappoint. It got ou5 hair and dirt I didn't even know was there, and got my area rugs so clean that my annual spring rug shampoo was a breeze! Living on a farm with dogs, horses, and a dirt road, this is getting everything cleaner than I could imagine. I will definitely be recommending this to all my pet friends.

Have had product for about 10 days. It was the right choice. Loved the soft brush. Great for wood floors. Great for cleaning up cat fur too.
