Just a couple things to NOTE prior to purchasing!

I’ve used my new STRATOS a few times now. I had Shark’s DUO Clean prior to buying this one. I was expecting to be perfectly satisfied with this new upgrade, but there are just a couple things that is going to cause me not to get rid of my DUO. The biggest issue to me is that the hose from the canister to the handle attachment, it’s just to short compared to the old one. The plastic material is not hard compared to the softer plastic material they used in the DUO, which means more muscle use. Then, when you have the canister lifted away from the wand and carpet attachment, you absolutely will be having to carry/hold it the majority of the time you are trying to dust, etc, using your other attachments. When you set the canister down, to get more involved in using the attachment, like trying to reach something, using your hand more trying to maneuver the attachment, the lack of give the hose has, pulls on the canister so much easier now, and causes it to constantly fall over when your working. Then you have to stop, fix that, then get back to your job. I do a lot of vacuuming, sometimes for extended periods of time, when I’m being too thorough, and I just don’t physically feel like holding that canister constantly. Also, you are having to engage/flex (work) your muscles in your arm a lot more during those jobs, BECAUSE of the shorter length and lesser give the hose on the STRATOS. I have to rest my arm for a while when I complete the tasks I was doing. This vacuum is also, just a little heavier than the old one. Now, these are just my cons. I think the STRATOS works awesome! The suction is better! I used my old vacuum, then used the STRATOS in the same places right after, and still got a lot in the canister. So, I can see a difference. I love the odor neutralizer, and that you can adjust the output of scent with it. But, this issue with the hose being shorter, material less giving, I would ABSOLUTELY buy a new hose attachment, if they were to eventually offer one. If they could, I would be perfectly satisfied. I love my Shark products, and have recommended the DUO Clean to numerous people. So, I won’t be getting rid of my DUO just yet. I will keep it to use when I just don’t feel like feeling my arm has been lifting weights. Just wanted to give an informed review, for those of you that have physical limitations, thinking about purchasing. I would still get it. Please offer a longer hose attachment SHARK!! People will buy it! Thanks!!

I have purchased 3 Shark vacuums in the past 10 + years. I have been very impressed with past models. I am very disappointed in the
"Stratos Model" very cheaply made. There is no light for attachment handle
Way to much money for the quality of the product.

Bad choice

This is by far the worst vacuum that Shark has ever made. It’s heavy , it does not pick up right, I have been waiting for my tight color head to come in for months now they sent me a wrong color , the scent thing does not work at all! I have always bought Shark but this one has completely changed my mind. So tired of the run around!

I've been using the new Stratos AZ3000 for 4 months, it replaced 11 yr old Dyson DC33.
Shark advantages:
Gets under kitchen cabinets.
Cleans edges great.
Easy to switch to attachments.
Does great on hardwood floors, polishes, removes dust.
3 settings - bare floor, low, high piles. Difference is the suction power is highest on high pile so I just leave it there.
On carpet it pulls itself forward which makes it hard to pull back and maneuver, it's a workout.
Cleans great; gritty, fine particles in waste bin.
Shark advantages:

Shark Stratos hair pro upgrade

This is my 2nd Shark and I just positively LOVE it!!!! The power this vacuum has is utterly unbelievable!! I never thought they could ever make this vacuum cleaner any better than the first one I owned but they did!! Anyone thinking of owning one please take my word for it, it is worth every penny and will utterly blow your mind!! Thank you for this vacuum i'm one happy lady!!! Debi Ratliff

I’m absolutely in love with this vacuum. It’s lighter and more maneuverable than my Dyson pet. The smell is subtle but very clean. And I have long hair and three labs, so the non hair tangling brush is a life saver

Best vacuum I’ve owned!

I bought this about a month ago and it has been one of the best investments. I have two large dogs who shed a medium amount with both carpet and hardwood floors and it does incredible on both. Before this, I had a cheap Bissell and it didn’t suck up anything. This gets SO much hair without getting stuck on the roller. Great investment!!
