Not as good as I had hoped

I have 2 shark NV500 Series, they are so good! I loved the light on extension, however, I wanted to try the latest greatest, which was the Stratos… it is a good vacuum, I like that the rotating no wrap hair feature works, however, I miss that extension light. I wish they would make a vacuum that has all the great features of both vacuums together. The size of the Stratos is not as easy to maneuver. I would buy my NV500 again before the Startos. I have dogs and lots of mess, and I need the best vacuum you make!!!! The other disappointment was , the light on the power nozzle was not near as bright as the NV500n

Strong suction to clean up cat hair.

I would give it 4.5 stars.
Pros:
Does a great job of cleaning high and medium pile carpets along with hardwood floors. Still trying different settings for very low pile carpets. Strong suction.
Lots of capabilities.
Easy to empty dust bin.
Nice to have a swivel head.
Cons:
Quite noisy, especially the stair attachment.
The odor neutralizer seems to be a gimick. Covers up odors more than removes them and very strong scent. Apparently, it can be used with out the the nuetalizer, maybe just a carbon insert would be better. Not as wide as my previous vacuum.

Excellent Features

This vacuum was a replacement which I greatly appreciate. I love the vacuum. We have a pet and it works wonders on pet hair. I also love the lift away for vacuuming under beds, table etc. I absolutely love this vacuum. I have had 3 sharks before this one and loved them all.

Horrible Vaccum and Hose is worthless.

This is my 4th Shark. After the 3rd I said I would NEVER buy another one. I got this very expensive vaccum for Christmas and I hate it. Within the first week the roller broke and it makes a horrible screaming noise. Company would not replace the part. Second, the hose is so short you can’t reach anything with the entire machine falling over and hitting you, the floor or your furniture. I have several bruises from it falling on my feet and legs. Third, the machine seems to have great suction, BUT only when directly on something. It does not pick up items next to walls or furniture.. I am so mad I have this 4th shark never again. You would think after all the years they would do something about their hose being worthless and totally unable to reach anything. This machine was so expensive and not worth a cent. DO NOT BUY! Have have attached videos

2nd time around

Just received a replacement for a previous unit where the Powered Lift-away and dust cup features malfunctioned. The buttons to remove the power unit and dust cup wouldn't work. The replacement is the same model. And the only reason I agreed to an identical replacement, was the powerful suction. It does an amazing job cleaning. Keeping my fingers crossed the replacement doesn't suffer the same fate as the first unit. I would've given 5 stars if the first unit hadn't failed. .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
