Not happy Shark

I purchased this vacuum June 2024 Shark Stratos® DuoClean® PowerFins® HairPro® Upright Vacuum to replace my previous Shark vacuum that i absolutely loved. My previous vacuums suction was so powerful for many years. I have to say this vacuums quality suction has decreased alot. I am not happy with this vacuum compared to my previous one esoecially with 2 dogs. Each month it appears the suction is getting less and less and it's been 4 mos.

Don't recommend!

I don't like this model. I had an Apex prior, and it died. I was given this Stratos as a replacement. Definitely not in the same class! This is NOT self-propelled. This does NOT swivel. It DOES have suction- reason for 3 stars. As appreciative as I am for receiving a replacement, I'd rather buy a new one instead of using this. I have a callus starting from running it and the feel of carpal tunnel starting from maneuvering! No where near the same level of quality as the Apex!

I bought the Shark Vertex a couple years ago, it looks almost exactly like this one, my wife and I are older people and we both hurt our shoulders badly trying to maneuver the Shark Vertex, I made a post on their Facebook page when they had it and my complaint was ignored and I was blocked by SHARK. The Vertex is so heavy and hard to handle that you will literally hurt yourself like we did, this vacuum does not look any better, these people do not care if you get hurt as long as you buy their product. We never heard anything from anyone on this matter just completely ignored.

Nice machine with room for improvement

The vacuum has great suction and Sharks have always been reliable for me. There are a few issues with the design that make it very frustrating.
1. When using the hose the unit is not stable and constantly falls over and I’ve been hit quite often with it as it falls. Doesn’t feel good
2. The hose attachments will not stay in the holders on the unit. They constantly fall off while using it. Very annoying.
3. Getting the dust bin to reconnect after removing it to empty it can be infuriating.
4. It can be very difficult to maneuver on thicker carpet.

Very poor design! Not user friendly!

I have bought three shark vacuums over the last 20+ years. I have never been this disappointed with one since day one. I gave my previous vacuums to family members not because anything was wrong but to get an upgraded one. BIG MISTAKE on this one!!!! The hose on this vacuum is to short and stiff. The advertisement picture shows a man using this vacuum with muscles that could lift a car. Of course it’s easy for him! In order to get in high places you would have to lift this canister with one hand about two foot from the area to be vacuumed. I bought this to make my life easier but find myself working harder and longer and can’t finish the dusting up high without stopping and resting. I vacuumed my couch and couldn’t keep this vacuum upright. It keeps falling over due to the short and inflexible hose. It fell over many times and bruised my leg in several places. Very poor design! I was a very loyal customer but now i am forced to start looking for another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
