Horrible for pet hair

Purchased 10 months ago and the roller stopped working. It was an absolute nightmare to take apart to unclog the roller. Hair gets wrapped around both ends of the roller. Star type screws are used so we had to go to the hardware store for that. Some screws barely came out. After hours of disassembling, I was unable to fix it because one end of the roller that was clogged would not come apart. In the trash it went. Dyson will be my next vacuum.

The best vacuum!

I love my new vacuum! It works so much better than any other vacuum I’ve ever used. I can transition so easily from vacuuming the carpet to using the wand for the baseboards. I would definitely recommend this vacuum. It’s makes cleaning so easy.

I like the power, but don't love this vacuum.

We like the stratos, but we don't love it. However, Shark did awesome w the warranty on the old one. A) The hose is not long enough/too stiff so it's really difficult to use some of the attachment w/o removing the canister - the vacuum will easily tip over. B) the pet hair pick up feature in a home w 3 dogs & 3 cats is actually a pain, as we have to take that roller off nearly every time to clean it off C) the wand & how it connects to the vacuum seems like a design flaw. Out 1st Stratos it never wanted to "click" in place. Eventually it rarely did resulting in the vacuum not picking up as it sensed the wand was out when it wasn't. Our new replacement is showing some signs of this too. D) You can't open it for less suction, so vacuuming many rugs are impossible. Mind you, we've loved Shark products since our 1st vacuum off an infomercial 10-12 years ago. We currently have the Stratos vacuum, an air fryer 3 in 1 oven, which we use very often & a 9 cup food processor. In the past we had a toaster oven & 2 other vacuums. I wish, instead of so many vacuums, I wish all their best features, i.e., suction power, length of hose... were in just a couple vacuums. Again, great warranty. This vacuum works very well on our hard floors.

Worth every penny

Upgraded from an Apex. I have 2 dogs, a mini lop bunny and live in a house with lots of traction in/out of the house. The stratos is an outstanding vacuum that can handle all the jobs my house brings to the table. I am so impressed with carpet cleaning, hard wood and rugs. I use the machine at least twice a day. Everytime there is lots of crap in the canister
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst Purchase Ever!

A couple years ago I traded in my beloved Shark upright vacuum for what I thought would be a new and improved version. I purchased the shark Stratos. Everytime I use my new vacuum, I hate it more and more! My biggest frustration is the hose! It's not long or flexible enough. I end up getting bruises all over my legs from the base knocking all around while I'm using the hose. My previous Shark's hose cracked, so I was happy with the thicker hose, but the hose one the Stratos does not extend well. If I hadn't spent so much on this vacuum, I would have gotten rid of it long ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On/Off Button defect-Terrible Dirt Cup-Awful Hose

Here we are a Year Later, and the same issues are now much worse.
#1) The On/Off Button gets stuck or doesn't depress or engage at all now. Started Brand new. I am the only one who uses this vacuum and have always been very careful. I brought this to attention from the very beginning, but let it go with not much help.
#2) I also want to mention that the Dirt Cup doesn't latch quite often, unless I pull and try several times. It is also in an awkward spot really.
#3) The hose for the wand is still not pliable and doesn't stretch far at all; the entire machine falls down when using the wand; even after holding it down with one hand. Carrying it is a nightmare. I got this newer vacuum on top of our older SHARK, which I love...I got the for ease of use on stairs, etc.. Now, it gets much less use than our older one, and sits in a spare bedroom upstairs now.

Best for pets!

I've have a Saint Bernard and Lab, had it for a month and I I LOVE IT. Handles the hair perfectly does great on my stairs(carpet) and my hardwood!!! Bonus points, my puppy cheeed the chord week 2 and Shark sent me a new one no questions asked!!!!!

It is a great product however, I wish the filter was able to flip to other side like in my previous Shark and I miss the flashlight on the wand
