Excellent Gourmet Coffee at home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first, the coffee is outstanding! Nespresso offers a nice variety of gourmet espresso/coffee flavors packaged nicely in sleek oval pods. The spinning motion of the machine is effective in giving the espresso a full rich flavor and smooth froth. Coffee pods are automatically discarded into a separate compartment within the machine, very neat and handy! The cup support stand is adjustable. Nespresso also has an App which connects to your wifi. The App is used for machine maintenance notifications, descaling alerts, troubleshooting etc. Please note that other coffee pods are not compatible for use with this machine. The Nespresso Vertuo reads the barcode on the coffee pod which then determines how much water to dispense, foolproof! The Nespresso is sleek looking, easy to setup and use and makes excellent coffee! Disappointed the other pods are not compatible but that shouldn’t be an issue if you enjoy the many “perks” of this machine along with Nespresso’s excellent quality coffee.

Great machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying this machine! Its very compact and doesn't take much space on my counter. Its a little noisy but ive never had an espresso machine before and maybe thats normal? It heats and brews very quickly which is so nice. The pods are pricey but so far it has been worth it to make delicious drinks at home instead of going out to a coffee shop. Maybe one day nespresso will have a reusable pod?

Perfect for busy mornings

It’s super easy to use, heats up fast, and the coffee comes out with that thick, foamy crema that makes it feel like I grabbed it from a café. I love that it does all the work for you, just pop in a pod and press a button.
Perfect for busy mornings when I still want a really good cup of coffee without leaving the house.

Incredible cup of coffee in seconds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great. It is so sleek and compact that it doesn’t take up a lot of room on your counter. Within seconds it starts brewing unlike brand X. It’s made of sturdy materials and the price point is great. If there was one thing I would change would be the sound and that isn’t enough to keep me from using it.

Amazing tasting coffee!

What I don’t like is I’m used to selecting the size of coffee I want, but this machine works by making the individual size on the capsule. There are multiple selections of coffee to choose from. My disappointment was getting the sample capsules a few days after the machine arrived. I thought it came with the machine so I had ordered some to try. This machine makes unbelievable coffee!

A versatile machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a few original line Nespresso machines before, but this is my first experience with the Vertuo series. It is by far the most versatile ive had in terms of sizes and styles of drinks it makes. I love that the machine scans the capsules and automatically knows what size drink so make so that I don't need to memorize the correct size for every drink type. It's a very easy to use machine, though I could see locking it being a little difficult for those with trouble with hand strength or dexterity. I enjoy having the option to make such a variety of drink sizes, including regular coffees. The crema it creates is really lovely too. I appreciated the sample capsules it came with, which helped me in choosing more to order. The water tank is a bit small and requires more frequent refills, but that also means the machine can be more compact and take up less space in the kitchen. The capsule disposal also doesn't appear to hold many capsules, but again, it lends to the smaller size. Ive had machines with built in milk frothers before, and I do miss the option of a frother a bit, but it's easy enough to just use a separate one. Having and automated machine like this takes the guess work out of figuring out the pressure and settings needed to make a good cup of coffee, and this makes a reliably consistent cup. It's not too loud when brewing and heats up very quickly. I'm looking forward to trying iced recipes with this too!

Love the Ease Of Use and Recyled Materials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a daily coffee drinker, so I was thrilled to be chosen to review the Nespresso Vertuo Next. I've gone from a regular drip coffee maker, to Keurig, and now the Vertuo Next.
Right off, I love the that the packaging and Nespresso Machine are made mainly with recycled materials. The packaging consists of 95% recycled material and is also 99% recyclable. The machine itself is made with 40% recycled plastic and of course, the pods are also recyclable. This speaks to Nespresso's sustainability commitment.
Set up was very simple, I did the first rinsing as shown in the booklet, plugged in the machine and, brewed my first cup. There are QR codes with links to videos included, if that is more your style. Either way, settting up and using the Vertuo Next is counterintuitive.
The machine has a slim build to take up less counter space and the white color fits in well with most color schemes. I did find that once you add the cup holder, it is somewhat long, but it still fits comfortably on most counterspaces. There are 3 slots for the cupholder attachment, and one can easily switch it to fit your cup, mug or carafe. I found it pretty nifty how the used pods come out and drop into the chute/container area when you lift the lid after brewing. This makes it easy to store and then recycle once the pods have cooled down.
My coffee was bold and flavorful, much better than other methods of brewing I have tried before. The layer of foam on top makes every cup a little extra special. I do love the machine and I enjoy using it. As a daily coffee drinker, the price of the pods/capsules are more expensive than other competing models and it definitely adds up. In the current economy, the price of the capsules makes one think twice about investing in a coffee brewer like this. If you are very serious about your coffee and fancy yourself a home barista, then by all means this machine is a good option. With many different flavor and size options, it makes it simple to customize and create a very tasty brewed drink that is comparable to a coffee shop at a slightly lower cost. I would have liked a button on the machine to choose water temp, because I prefer my coffee a bit hotter, but overall I was impressed with the ease of use, slim build, design, and recycled materials of the Vertuo Next. While I may not use it daily due to the costs of the capsules, I will definitely treat myself on the weekends or when I have company over.
