Great but….

Worked great for a year. We descaled it as planned. And now we’re dealing with a grinding sound. And scraping on top of the pod cup. Went back to Keurig.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nespresso Vertuo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received the Nespresso Vertuo and very happy with machine. It's beautiful and I love the coffee. The only thing I am not crazy about is the way it opens and closes to put in the pod. The piece you have to turn to open and close is a bit stiff and feels like it might break.

Overall it's fine.

I liked the idea that this could brew an 18 ounce carafe. I think that the single cup pours are better tasting than the carafe though...The carafe pods taste very watered down. The opening mechanism is annoying to use. Especially when compared to the VertuoPlus. I guess maybe because it's a slimmer model? Overall, it's fine. Could use work on the carafe pour over though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What we don't like is pushing down the top and latching it manually. We prefer our Vertuo Plus since it is automatic at the touch of a finger and that makes it easy for those with arthritis.
