However, we understand that the machine can be difficult to close at times, and we’re happy to provide some user tips that may help. Coffee grounds can build up in the upper head unit. We recommend opening the head and in the upper unit, carefully grab around the rotating part and rotate it around a few times one way, and then around a few times the other way, until the rotating unit spins easily. Once the rotating unit spins easily, we recommend running the Clean Cycle to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit.
For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.
