Stops working

I have had 2 replacement coffee maker less than a year. Both times they just stopped working Mechanic are terrible coffee is great. I always use bottled filter water so not sure what this issue is . Pretty disappointed

The VertuoNext machine comes with a one-year warranty and we're happy to offer lifetime troubleshooting support. The machine must be regularly descaled regardless of the type of water used. That should be performed with the Nespresso descaling kit every three months or every 300 capsules used, whichever comes first. We're happy to learn you've received a replacement machine. Do not choose this machine

We have used Nespresso for years. We thought we would upgrade from our VertuoPlus machine to the VertuoNext to be able to explore all the coffee options that Nespresso offers. However, it is going way back in time. The VertuoNext machine is very manual, almost feels like you are forcing it to make you a coffee. You have to push down the lid with force while simultaneously turning the leaver to lock it. The whole machine moves on the counter trying to just close the lid. It is also louder than the VertuoPlus. And unfortunately the reason we purchased the VertuoNext for the range of coffee options, like the 12oz coffees, but spoiler alert, the VertuoNext machine is too short to fit a mug that can hold 12oz under the spout. We had to sit the machine on a cutting board to be able to fit our larger mugs underneath.
Overall, we have been using the VertuoNext for two months now and we are not impressed. Once our 12oz capsules are done will switch back to our older VertuoPlus machine. I do not recommend the machine to anyone new to Nespresso or existing customers.

Buyer beware

My wife and I got ours as a gift a couple of months ago. Like many next owners we started having issues only a few months in. The design is flawed and internal parts breakdown quickly. After a few months ours started leaking brown liquid out of the bottom onto our counter. Please if you’re going to get a vertuo line get anything but the NEXT it’s not worth the trouble. The customer service was good and offered a replacement. Unfortunately for us they replaced our old next with a new one so I fully expect to need another replacement in a few more months.

We recommend running a priming cycle through your machine once a week to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. Stay Away from the Vertuo Next

I originally had a Nespresso machine that lasted 5 years before the motor got so loud it was time to throw it away and purchase a new one because I love the quality of coffee these machines brew. I purchased the Vertuo Next because I was excited about having the option to brew a carafe. My first one lasted 6 months before it just completely stopped working. I pressed the button and it would turn orange indicating a malfunction, and it would occasionally leak. Customer service did a troubleshoot and we got it to work for another couple of days before it malfunctioned again. They promptly sent me a new one which only lasted 7 months. Again, I called customer service and we got it to work for 1 day before it malfunctioned again. Customer service has decided to send me a different machine, the Vertuo Plus. Hopefully this machine will not give me any problems and maybe they will work out the kinks on the Next someday.

Unreliable

I loved the look of this machine and the fact that it could make carafe size coffee. However, it was constantly breaking down. I always had to reset it. I had to have it replaced twice. The second time, nespresso wouldnyeven give me the Next again bc it clearly wasn't working. I now have the Evoluo and it is so much more reliable! Not a single reset or issue yet. I would NOT recommend this machine.

Do not buy

Please don't waste your money like I did. I love Nespresso. This machine is simply bad. So bad, I had to replace with a new one after just 1 month. First, it is extremely noisy right out of the box (machines get noisier over time, but this one started out louder than my 10 yr old machine). Also, the used pods are discarded full of water. The spent pod recepticle is even designed to separate the pods from the water. How do you resesing the recepticle, but not actually fix the problem??? All employees at the Nespresso boutique knew exactly why I was buying a new machine. I wish I had asked them before purchasing the Next online. I cannot stress enough, do not buy this machine.

I bought this machine for my mom for Christmas 2021, it lasted 6 months, the machine didn't work again. I was able to trade it in as it was still under warranty. But 8 months later the new machine was also damaged, it doesn't work (it turns on but the coffee never comes out). The truth is that I am very upset with Nespresso, I will not buy it again and I do not recommend it
