Great picture but not very senior-friendly remote

I bought the Samsung 65" Class Crystal UHD DU7200D as a Christmas gift for my 80-year-old mom, and overall, we’re really happy with the purchase. The picture quality is stunning—bright, crisp, and vibrant—and the sound is clear, which is a big plus for her since she doesn’t like using external speakers. It’s a big upgrade from her older Samsung, and she loves watching her shows on the larger screen.
However, I had to take off two stars because she's having a hard time learning to use the remote control. The newer remotes are sleek and minimal, but for seniors, the lack of labeled buttons and the different navigation style is a real challenge. She misses her old Samsung remote, which had more direct channel buttons and was easier for her to understand.
I’m wondering if Samsung offers any alternative remote options that are more senior-friendly, or if there’s a way to program an older-style remote to work with this TV? It would make a huge difference in her experience, as she currently relies on me or someone else to switch channels for her.
If you're buying this TV for a senior or someone who isn't tech-savvy, keep in mind that the remote might take some getting used to—or you may need to look for a compatible universal remote that’s easier to use.

First, you should be able to use the older Samsung remote with the new TV. It should automatically work with the TV.

You can also learn how to use your remote directly from your TV. Just go to Home> (left directional button) Settings> Support> Remote Control Guide.

One problem is sometimes there is no volume when I turn on tv. Very frustrating. Have to turn it off and on quite a few times before volume will come on.

My wife surprised me with a new tv on Christmas. I have been amazed at the quality of the picture, the sound and the many features on this tv. Picture is so crisp and clear. Certain movies or shows are so dark and this tv can brighten up the picture to make it an enjoyable viewing experience. Love this tv price was fantastic thinking of getting another for our room. Thanks Samsung for your amazing affordable product can’t say enough. Sports on this tv is perfect I watch a ton of basketball and it’s the best tv I’ve ever owned

This is our second Samsung television. We purchased one for a bedroom and two years later, a second one for the master bedroom. It's easy to navigate and we love the Smart Things app that lets us know when laundry is finished, the oven is preheated, and someone left the refrigerator door open. I think our house may be smarter than the people living in it these days. If another TV dies, we will likely replace it with another Samsung.

Nice tv, but cuts out while gaming

This is a great tv, but we have one major problem with it. When my family is playing video games, the screen will randomly go black for a few seconds, then come back on. It's like it switches itself off of game mode by itself. Very frustrating, but other than that, it has been a nice tv. Wish there was a way to fix this problem.

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you do not see any picture, there are three potential issues.

1) A connection issue is the most common problem where there is a bad connection, faulty cables, or improper installation.
2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.
3) There is something wrong with the TV, requiring a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.
