Didn't come with everything to install!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Says on the box, Easy to install, set up and use. Well unfortunately, that can't be accomplished properly, without the trim plate for the wall. This nest came with the thermostat (includes two AAA batteries), base plate, 2 wall screws and wire labels.
I installed the Google Home app, I got 15 minutes into the install instructions and realized I was not going to be able to go any further without the trim plate. What a waste of my time! Noticed they mention how to purchase and install a trim plate in the literature. Would've
been nice if that was already included. So, I can't agree with the easy to install bit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

EASY TO USE AND THE CONTROLS FIT VERY WELL. WHAT I LIKE IS THAT THE SCREEN MEETS I STOP IN FRONT OF THE THERMOSTAT IT TURNS ON AND INDICATES ME WHAT THE TEMPERATURE IS OUTSIDE AND INSIDE THE HOUSE

Wifi Issues

Looks nice and easy to install, and easy to use. However, wifi is iffy. We are a member of Ohm Connect in California which gives incentives if they are able to shut off the thermostat during high demand hours. However, the Nest loses contact with our network and we don't get our incentives. We have no problem with our other thermostat (Honeywell) and both are equidistant from our router.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest device, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Nest app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion, and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help.You can also try setting up your Nest Thermostat on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more reliable.

Very confusing

Very confusing and complicated. It took 3 people (professionals) to get it installed. I still don't know how to program it for the temps I WANT and times I WANT

You can customize your preset schedule based on your preferences. Here’s are the steps on how you can set a schedule using the app:

Make sure to clear any existing schedule. To check your existing schedule:
- Go to Google Home App>Settings>Schedules>Clear schedule
- Create your temperature presets - go to temperature preference>temperature presets>create customer temperature.
- Create a new schedule - Settings>Schedules>Add>Select temperature>select start time>Add to event>done

Very good thermometer, need C-wire (common)

The thermostats were very easy to install, but any instruction stating the C-wire is not needed is incorrect. Your system must have a C-wire connected to the Nest Thermostat to ensure all functionality is available (i.e. WiFi, Sensing, etc.). The C-wire also ensures your thermostat is not running through the batteries which will only last a week before needing to replaced (and again, without the smart functionality available). Hopefully the hardware lasts.
