Great purchase. Easy install and no fuss after. I like the way it senses when we are home or not. I also enjoy having the option to control from my phone.

New Nest Thermostat installation and review

I got an email offe4 from Google and decided to give the new model a try. The old unit from another company wouldn't sync up to WiFi and I wanted to complete my Google Home control of our new house. I'd done the research to confirm compatibility before ordering, which was easy and highly recommended, so I knew what to expect. The installation was easy and I'm glad I got the matching trim plate (also recommended), scan the barcode on the device and proceed with setup. Yes its just about that easy if you research, prepare and label accurately. I'd recommend this unit to anyone seeking easy remote control access and potential energy cost savings.

some good, some not so good

I have used Honeywell touchscreen thermostats for 10 or so years... Just recently decided to try the nest. I like it's sleek design and it's integration with google home app. I dont like that it shows the temp set point in large numbers...it should show the actual temp in large numbers...cant be changed. I also don't like that there isn't a lot of flexibility in programming. I'm a shift worker and need more programming optios.

Perfect for varied schedules!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While working from home we have been struggling to figure out how to heat/cool the house all day when we would normally be at work. The best thermostat has been a great solution as we can adjust the temperature to whatever we need from our phones and I have way more control over the schedule to suit our needs.

The nest is user friendly easy to install and makes regulating my home temperature easy. I travel frequently and at times forget to adjust the thermostat now I can do it from my phone.

The previous smart thermostat worked most of the time, but was slow to respond to changes and frequently was inaccessible from the Google Home app or proprietary app from the manufacturer.The Nest Thermostat on the other hand is very reliable and works very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
