Simple, clean and effective

Very sleek, unobtrusive design. Easy to install. I love that the size of the temp setting is large and bright enough to be viewed from across the room. The auto "away" function is fantastic for saving energy.

Nest keeps disconnecting from wifi

Twice now my nest has disconnected from wifi and I had to reset the whole thing and lost all my settings. do not recommend.

Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest device, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Nest app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion, and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help.You can also try setting up your Nest Thermostat on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more reliable.

Doesn't connect , stops and starts constantly

Received as a gift . Constantly stopping and starting the HVAC, no support from Nest . Nothing worked on trouble shooting . Our home was built in the 70s . Disappointed

Nest Thermostat works with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps with either forced air or radiant delivery that has a maximum of 6 wires. Doesn't live up to the brand

While the brand was never the best, the new model integrated with Google home and lost several features. Some of the absent features are scheduling and pin lock. Both features are very important. Also it seems their smart adjustments are keeping me hot. While I can't give it a 1 star because it does do everything it says on the tin, I'm giving it 2 stars because it doesn't come close to my expectations. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone except those who want to save money. It's not good for people who don't understand technology nor those who want to integrate into a smart home. I must give it points for looking good when turned off, but when it turns on you can see the square screen which ruins the overall effect. I'd say this is a piece of junk and your money would be better spent elsewhere if you're looking for home automation or trying to keep your home regulated to a certain temperature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hubby loved me for surprising him with the Nest Thermostat! Was easy to install after watching a tutorial to make sure was compatible. He likes the alerts but mostly the remote
control he can change temps without ever moving or while away from home. I love the sleek classy look of it.

Far better than the Nest Learning Thermostat

I have all the google products from the google WIFI to the Yale lock. This is the only device that stays connected to the network and just works, even on a 3 wire without ground. The rest of the Google products are very problematic.I have it mounted in my workshop well over 50 feet from the router and I have never detected it disconnected. It is connected to a 3rd party WIFI router that works, unlike google Nest WIFI which drops out every day with warnings on my phone.The nest learning thermostat, or any of the many other NEWER google Nest WIFI products, can not stay connected being 10 feet from the router, and pop up with warning notifications on my phone every couple hours.Before they respond: I have gone through useless tech support many times. They are stuck on their script with the double nat issues. There is no double nat issue when it is the only device connected to the modem and they all still drop WIFI connection! How is a double nat issue related to WIFI strength?

Nest thermostat

I think the instructions are meager for a senior citizen. For example 1 how do you get the temperature to hold 2 how do you set a temperature for a vacationSenior citizens like me need written instructions you can read as you program. Videos that train you go too fast and you can't keep up with what they're showing you.

There are different ways to manage temperature control for your home. When you set your Nest Thermostat to hold the temperature, it will maintain that specific temperature for as long as you want. Or if you want your thermostat to hold Eco temperatures for a longer period of time (like when you’re on vacation) and don’t want it to follow its temperature schedule or rely on presence sensing withHome and Away Routines.
