Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This took me about 8 minutes to install and 6 minutes of that was figuring out which fuse to flip so I didn't electrocute myself. It's super cool, the side of the thermostat is a bazel and tapping the side is a button press. We will have to paint to cover the old thermostat's footprint but that's easy enough. Love it!

New 2021 Nest Thermostat

I decided to upgrade to the newer model from my 2nd Gen Nest Thermostat. First, about the thermostat itself, it is slimmer and not as bulky as the 2nd Gen Nest Thermostat. The setup was pretty straight forward and the wire mount piece actually had less available connections as my 2nd Gen had, so I would recommend you review your wiring needs of your AC/heater unit before purchasing. This thermostat package also has less included items I got with the 2nd Gen, such as no included tools or wall spacer plate. The screen has a mirror finish and the readout “comes through” the mirror finish. Instead of twisting the side bezel to make adjustments, the new unit uses touch technology. I found that the touch bezel is pretty good, but not quite as sensitive as say a newer iPhone screen. I’m very disappointed with being forced to use the Google home app instead of the Nest app, as the Google Home app seems inferior and I still have Nest Hello doorbells and Nest Protect stuck on the Nest app

I can't get to work so I can say if it's good or not. But seeing I can't get it working... and don't count on support.. it seem more bad than good....especially if I have to call a pro

Like many of the Google products, the nest thermostat is exceptionally well designed and easy to control via the app. Love beyond the connected to our Google Wi-Fi and the mesh system. Definitely an awesome addition!

Amazing Thermostat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new nest! As soon as I opened the box, I was super impressed with the design. The mirrored glass design is gorgeous! Setting up the google home app was simple! Installing the actual nest was also super simple and the app helped me along the way to ensure everything was set up properly. Within a half hour my nest was ready to go! This thermostat is so much more accurate then my last thermostat. I love that I can use it with my Alexa, it is super convenient! On the nest, it displays the date, time, temperature outside as well inside. I also love that I can control the temperature right from my phone. One of my favorite features is that I can set a daily schedule for the heat, how amazing is that! If you are looking for a new thermostat, I definitely recommend the Google Nest!

Beautiful design, some possible issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this thing is beautiful. Best looking smart thermostat by far in my opinion. Secondly, it does what a smart thermostat should do at a minimum- lets you set programs, reminds you when to change filters and service your system, lets you do a vacation setting - and all via an app (note it uses the Google Home app, not Nest). Other cool feature is energy savings recommendations it can make over time. What's it missing that most smart thermostats have? It doesn't "learn" and doesn't use room sensors to see when people are in the room. There are Nests that do that, but this one doesn't. The issues you might run into are probably with install: this thing is tiny so the existing hole in your drywall might be too big and you'd have to patch it or use some kind of plate. Secondly, and this would apply to any smart thermostat, it may require a C (constant power) wire that may not already be in place for you. Which would mean hiring an electrician to run it. That's probably going to depend on the age of your home/HVAC and current set up. That doesn't apply to most but it's a concern. In short, if you want a basic smart thermostat that looks beautiful on the wall, this is a good choice.

Older Models are better

Does not support Nest thermostat sensors. Very buggy and keep getting out of sync with Google Home.
