After changing wires twice, the Nest is working perfectly. The second technician knew to check my A/C unit for a heat pump.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Constant errors

Was told this work would for my system. It doesn’t not. I need a thermostat for a heat only system. Was told this is the one that would work. It worked for maybe 12 hours. Then shut itself down. Constant error messages, says it is not connected to power, electrician confirmed it is. HVAC guy also came out and x can’t figure out the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I installed several of the Nest thermostats and they are really fantastic!! Great looking, easy to control and totally save energy. I really have no issues with them.

Absolutely the best! The install was drama free, so easy it basically installed itself. I’m an IT guy thought I’d have to add IP addresses etc. couldn’t have been easier. Got rid of a very clumsy Honeywell unit. All our settings at our fingertips from our smartphones from anywhere in the world. It’s also very stylish and modern looking wakes up the display when you walk by it. I highly recommend it!-jim

Awesome thermostat, which not only allows me to set the temp when away from home using my Iphone it gives me alerts about the operation/performance of the furnace example “your furnace has stopped running unexpectedly before finishing heating”. I think that it is a great investment to save money on heating

You can change the temperature schedule of your thermostat using the Home app, you can view the schedule, add a new temperature to customize your preset schedule based on your preferences. Make sure to clear any existing schedule. To check your existing schedule:
- Go to Google Home App > Settings > Schedules > Clear schedule.
- Create your temperature presets - go to temperature preference > temperature presets>create customer temperature.
- Create a new schedule - Settings > Schedules > Add > Select temperature > select start time > Add to event > done.

So far it seems like a great product and investment. however I have not had it long enough to actually verify that it saves me money, and for that reason I cannot give it 5 stars or a solid recommendation.

Mostly fine. Touch sensor peculiar

It works great and saves me electricity. However, the touch sensor on the rim doesn't seem to very responsive and needs some getting used to.
