Works great, need more temps

The Nest works great, I just wish it had more than three temperature settings. (Eco, comfort and sleep). I would like an active weekend comfort setting that is different than the one when I am sitting working on my computer. Also, my thermostat is out of the way, so it thinks we aren't home a lot. I wish I could increase the distance it would sense my phone - or if it could tell if my phone was on the wireless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the installation instructions from the Google home app are so simple and easy to follow. the app instructs you every step of the way including taking a picture of the wire connections before you disassemble your old thermostat. I have never seen such detail and attention as this. once installed setting the thermostat is a snap.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nest Thermostat

I got my free thermostat from the end blackouts website. It was really easy to install and it looks so good, too. It’s very responsive and works great! The reason I only gave 4 stars is that for me (a senior) it was kind of hard to figure out how to set up the different times and temperatures. A tutorial online would be really helpful for some of us. Other than that, I love it! It’s also very handy to be able to control the thermostat remotely (so the dogs don’t get too cold or hot) if we’re not around!!!

Good looking device

I enjoy how easy it is to use once it is installed. the display has a cool reflective effect but is still sharp and legible when its time to adjust things. Especially enjoy being able to control the thermostat from my phone with the Home app.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would not charge

Never charged, kept shutting down. I had to take it out again. It kept saying the Rh was not working too. It worked with the old thermostat.

This error means that your Nest thermostat is not detecting any power from the wire. Possible causes are, insufficient power coming from HVAC, faulty wiring, faulty thermostat terminals, incompatible system, or if you don’t have a common wire (C), you need to install one.
If you haven’t yet, you can try the following troubleshooting, and make sure to turn the power off before touching any wires.
- If you have a single transformer or only 1 power wire, try to connect the RC to RH or vice versa, see if the error still persists.
- Check the system compatibility here: https://store.google.com/us/widget/compatibility/thermostat.

Great Budget Smart Thermostat

The new nest thermostat is a great budget thermostat. It is much easier to interact with using the app than at the thermostat, but I prefer the app interface over touching the device since I can explore the features anywhere.It works well with my HVAC system so I have no complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!
