Can’t seem to keep it from changing temp without my permission. And god forbid you change you’re wireless network.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi A Long, thanks for letting us know of your feedback about the Nest Thermostat. It’s unfortunate to learn you ran into these issues and we’re sorry for the inconvenience it could have caused.
The Nest Thermostat has different ways, in the Home app or on the thermostat, to manage temperature control for your home. If you set your Nest Thermostat to hold the temperature, it will maintain that specific temperature for as long as you want. But please note that you must end the current hold first before you can start a new hold to change the hold settings. You can change the temperature schedule of your thermostat using the Home app, you can view the schedule, add a new temperature to customize your preset schedule based on your preferences. Make sure to clear any existing schedule. To check your existing schedule:
- Go to Google Home App>Settings>Schedules>Clear schedule
- Create your temperature presets - go to temperature preference>temperature presets>create customer temperature.
- Create a new schedule - Settings>Schedules>Add>Select temperature>select start time>Add to event>done
Also, if you change the Wi-Fi SSID, password, or other router settings, you’ll need to update the Wi-Fi information on your thermostat so it can still connect to the internet. If you install a new router, the easiest thing to do is use the same network name (SSID) and password as before. Your Google Nest thermostat will typically be able to reconnect easily.

So far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had the Nest for a couple days, so it’s hard to tell exactly how it’s going to work.
It’s super sleek, and looks really clean on the wall. It was extremely easy to install, and so far everything seems to be working well! I’m really excited to be able to program it to adjust temps while I’m not at home. Set up was almost too easy! I’m a huge fan of all things Google, so I know the Nest won’t let me down!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing

Not nearly as easy to use as its older (and more expensive) models. It does not link to the Nest app just to the Home app which limits how you can set and control it. It is not possible to set program to specific temperatures on specific times and days. I would return it and get the other models if I could. Disappointed David

I was sceptical at first but once installed it works great! The Nest thermostat keeps to temperature so close to the desired settings our furnace or AC run very little compared to our old thermostat. Great product.

Problems

At this point I'm disappointed with the error code that appears every day multiple times on most days. This defeats the purpose if I can't access the Nest remotely. Planning a long vacation this upcoming winter. I have tried to troubleshoot the problem unsuccessfully. Very frustrating.

Easy installation, excellent product, very use friendly, sleek look.Very accurate when compared to my weather station. App convenience great feature, easy to navigate and set up... Highly recommend the nest!!

Easy to setup and adjust

I replaced two old thermostats in my home with these Nest units. Install and setup was very easy. I already had other Google Home products, so am familiar with the app. Nonetheless I watched the YouTube install video and everything worked as shown. Changing temperature and schedule is way easier than on the old units.I almost left a terrible review because the upstairs unit kept seemingly changing on its own. After a lot of frustration, it turned out my kid was changing it. Ha.
