Do not buy

This is the worst thing I have bought in a long time. I had to return my first one since it just un-synced itself from Google Home and no one could figure out it was a wifi issue. The second one I received did the same thing a few times and then all of a sudden didn't want to work until I put it on cool then hot. Very bad user experience. There is no way I could teach my mother to use this. Can't wait to throw it on to the street so I can run it over with my car multiple times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and I am completely happy with it! I love the programming ability and the app on the my is awesome! We had to purchase a trim kit afterwards since the whole underneath the old thermostat was a bit bigger than anticipated. It finishes off the look of it! I would recommend

Bad policies

Everything worked well in the beginning until Google came with new unacceptable privacy policy. Also Google tends discontinuing services for previous generations of thermostats. Original Nest app offers only basic functionslity. I still use it with Nest app but will not buy Nest sgain.

It doesn't work for 120V systems

I got sucked into the false marketing on this one. They state "if you have vents in your walls, a boiler in the basement, central air conditioning, or floors that heat/cool, this thermostat will work." And if you live in a condo in the city of Toronto you should check to see if you have a Fan Coil Unit running on line voltage because this thermostat does not work with that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Google Nest wifi smart thermostat

Received the item only 3 days after ordering online, it’s fast. The thermostat is very simple to install and set up. It took me under 30 minutes to finish. It looks very nice after installing too. Love it
