Bought 4 of these for our new home. We liked the modern design and aesthetic. Thought it would be more intuitive and easy to use. Can’t figure out how set schedules easily and doesn’t get to know your routine and set the temperature for you. M the learning thermostat does. Definitely not as good as the 3rd generation learning thermostat. Not worth the money. The quality is not good - feels like cheap plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just found out the hard way that this thing won’t work if it’s not connected to the app. Who designs a thermostat that will not work if it’s not connected to an app?
Thankfully I was able to connect it to my iPad because it won’t connect to my phone anymore. At all costs never try to reset it! If it won’t connect to the Internet just leave it alone and buy another thermostat. If you try to factory reset, you’re in big trouble. This is Canada we need to heat our houses in the winter!

Works well so far. Missing outdoor temperature on app which is important to me given that it is at my cottage. Also, there are few clear instructions included or online. I have two other Nest E thermostats and so far I prefer them but not available any longer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Before buying this item consult with a Hvac contractor to make sure it works with your current heating and AC system. I found out after I purchased and hired a contractor just to let him tell me my system won’t work wifi. The unit works to heat and cool but will not work with wifi your home needs to have a extra power wire for it to work over wifi

Bought this for my garage unit heater. The thermostat I had before (analog) would cycle the heater on an off too much.
This little gem looks great on my garage wall. Unit heater no longer cycles on and off and as a bonus, I’m now using at least 60% less natural gas and electricity!!
The app is good and simple to use. I like having the ability to control the temperature from my couch or my car.
I would recommend this to a friend!
