Disappointed

I switched from Honeywell to Google Nest. Honeywell thermostat was frequently disconnecting to the WiFi. Google Nest stays connected but I can’t seem control the temperature setting on each profile like Eco or Comfort. If there is, I couldn’t find it. It should be easy to find and edit. Disappointing since this should be an easy thing to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat have Eco mode. For the Nest Thermostat(2020), you can use the Eco preset to quickly adjust to energy-saving temperatures manually or in its temperature schedule. Installation was easy, far less complicated than a previous smart thermostat. Keeps the temps where I want them. It's summer already here in FL.

Set up is a trick but after that it is awesome

So during setup, the unit sometime does not want to connect to the Wi-Fi and other times does not register the wires that are definitely connected. Once it connects though and recognizes everything is where it should be it does not give any problems and I have never seen it lose connection even once. Works great once set up.

My least favorite nest device to date

I feel like this device just isn’t right. It’s super finicky. Constantly wants to set the temperature to 84 degrees even after clearing all the settings. The actual device works poorly as well. Don’t recommend this device if you’re looking for a nest product. I bought it for the aesthetic, and I regret it.

The Nest Thermostat has different ways, in the Home app or on the thermostat, to manage temperature control for your home. If you set your Nest Thermostat to hold the temperature, it will maintain that specific temperature for as long as you want. But please note that you must end the current hold first before you can start a new hold to change the hold settings. Device is good; apps are annoying

I love the Nest thermostat and its sleek design, but the shift between the old Nest app and new Google Home app is really annoying. Some products work on the Nest app but others require the Google Home. Why isn't everything streamlined through one or the other? I bought this new Nest to replace an old one so we could use it with Nest sensors in the house, but turns out even the newer generation of the basic Nest does not work with the sensor and I need to replace it with yet another Nest product. It's frustrating to have to filter through the multiple device types/designs to get full system functionality and then toggle between apps to use sensors and thermostats.
