Great Thermostat, able to control from iphone and saves energy by adjusting temperature by putting in preset schedules for sleep time and times you leave for work.

Google Nest Thermostat

Installation was easy and manual control of the thermostat is nice. However, after a few days, I realized I couldn't change default settings for Eco, Comfort, Away modes. They are way off of what I would want to program. Plus, I wanted to try programming and discovered the unit is now "Offline". I don't know how it is offline and the application has no way to reset the network connection. Probably have to start all over with the setup process, but frankly I am tired of paying for stuff that seem to have issues every few days. Kind of ignoring it for now, not worth the trouble.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat what impressed me was the sleekness of this thermostat. It just looks nice and I got the snow color and loved it! My husband set it up and said that was a little tricky, the biggest change for me was not having a dial to turn, wish they would have kept that feature.

Great Product

Does everything we need it to. Came from a 3rd Gen Nest to the new, cheaper Nest model. Only lost the auto schedule learning, which we had disabled anyway on the 3rd gen Nest. Love the screen dimming for dark rooms/night time. Excellent price!

The 1st nest they sent me wasn’t drawing power properly so after complete confusion and a month later they sent me another one. It works but isn’t very user friendly
