Love the new mirror Design! No more spin dial!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the older model nest to this new one. I love that there is no moving parts on it as the first generation gunked up after a year or two... now I don't have to worry about that. The new mirror design is stylish and I love it. The only down side was I upgraded from the old nest and migrating to google home didn't work as cleanly as I had hoped. Now that I am on google home things are all set and great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had Air Conditioner folks try to install it in 3 locations. None of the locations were able to have it connected. I would like to return it. It is useless. I have a different model of one at my home which I love. This newer version is not usable. Thanks

Works but not intuitive

It does everything I ask from it however having the turn ring from regular Nest is far easier for guests to use. For the price they should have made outside edge turn to change temp. Also this Nest thermostat does not work with Nest app so now I use Google home with more clicks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lack of screen view settings

If in general it works, good google home integration, but it has its own understanding about which kind of information i need to see first. So, every time i need to perform additional clicking to see something like current humidity, not the current set device settings.

Faulty Product

Had a nest device that only lasted 4 years. Bought this one as a replacement and the device didn’t work. Even had the AC company come over and he tested it and it didn’t work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does not integrate with my other NEST app. I have to use A Nest app and a Google Home app for the 2 different thermostats.

The new Nest Thermostat was designed to work exclusively with the Google Home app to better integrate with the other Google Nest products. On the other hand, the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E models can work on both the Nest app and Google Home app. If you haven’t done the migration, we recommend migrating your Nest Account to Google Account, so you will be able to control both of your Nest thermostats with the Google Home app. Here’s how:
- On your mobile device, download the latest version of the Nest app from the App Store (iOS 12.0 or higher).
- Check that you have an eligible Google Account.
If you don’t have one, you will need to create a new Google Account.
- Open the Nest app and, if asked, sign in.
- Tap Settings > Account and verify that you’re signed in with the account you want to migrate.
- To migrate a different Nest Account, tap Sign out at the bottom of the screen sign in with the account you want to migrate.
- Tap Migrate to a Google Account.
- Follow the in-app instructions.
If you already migrated and cannot link both of your accounts, please reach out to our support team and we’d be happy to help here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
