Don't buy this one.

Don't get this one. I love the other Nest thermostat so much more. This one caused installation problems and then wouldn't stay connected to my wifi. Immediately remove it and upgraded to other Nest thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thing has not worked correctly since I installed it. There are better options to be had so look at other products and choose more wisely than I did.

Can't connect to wall heater

So far it's been horrible experience trying to connect the next to my heater. I ordered a transformer and adaptive wire and still says "no power"

Though Nest thermostats would generally work without a common (C) wire, power errors usually occur when your system wires can't deliver enough power to the thermostat. If the C wire or power adapters didn’t fix the issue, we need to check the compatibility if your HVAC system is compatible with Nest Thermostat. Everything works fine, a bit of a leaning curve, but easy to follow directions helped. I still don't know if it automatically switches from cool to heat and vice versa.
