Nest thermostat

It worked fine for almost a year. Then it has dropped WIFI dozens if not hundreds of times. I installed a new one and the same thing happened immediately. A lot of people complaining about this on Nest Forums. Nobody has a fix. Frustrating to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

becomes quite confusing

Really don't care for it just dealing with their right now you can't adjust the temperature right for every day and then it just kind of does what it wants to do at times sometimes it makes it too hot in the house and sometimes it does not cool down to the temperature is supposed to pretty much a headache

The unexpected temperature changes may have happened due to the existing schedules. You can follow the steps in the following article to change and set your temperature presets.
To view, edit, or create temperature presets for your thermostat: Open the Home app. Select your thermostat on the home screen. Tap Settings. Select Temperature preferences. Choose Temperature presets. Select an existing preset to change or delete it, or tap Add to create a custom preset. Does not work on HVAC system with a heat pump

After a very frustrating 1/2 day of installing and reinstalling, reading through countless FAQ's and trying recommended wiring configurations I gave up.

Nest Thermostat works with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps with either forced air or radiant delivery that has a maximum of 6 wires. Weird looking and not easy to use

First off, I did not like the way it looked. It was round and had a mirror face which looked especially weird in the middle of my wall. I also did not find it easy to use and ultimately returned it to the store.

Excellent thermostat

This is the third smart thermostat I have used. It was easy to install. It is fairly intuitive making choices simple. Programming is much better and simpler than my previous thermostat experience with brand Honey….The unit is small and attractive. Controls are easy to learn.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disconnects from google home app

The device keep getting disconnected from google home app every now and then, restarted and reset it multiple times but of no use. Hope this is just a bug and gets patched up in next update if any, or it’s as good as your non-wifi thermostat

Connectivity issues for Nest Thermostat may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby, and other Wi-FI settings. If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Nest Mini on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.

Simple to install and use

You set temp modes and schedule them through the day. You can easily change them on the fly with a command to the Google assistant. One thing I'd change or add is the ability to use temperature sensors so that I can change the temperature based on the room I'm
