It's great

Great thermostatn it does what you expect from a smart thermostat without the big price. Easy to install and configure to your needs. The only bad thing I can tell is that sometimes I am home and it doesn't know I still there, even having access to my location

It was very easy to install. At 74 years old I did by myself following the instructions. My problem is it seems to go into eco mode if I am not moving past the thermostat. Programming was a bit more confusing at first but I was able to figure it out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Instructions lacking

After installing the thermostat I was unable to get the device to work as demonstrated due to my system being an older HVAC style and the installer had taken a creative approach to putting together the electrical panel, or some hack had really done a number in replacing components in an illogical manner, either way the common wire wasn't exactly where is should have been. After researching YOUTUBE for hours I finally located a video that dealt with my issue. Using the video I was able to track down the proper location to install the common wire.

I like the Nest because it's pretty simple to operate, and it looks cool on my wall! The only thing I would change is to make it a touch screen rather than a wheel control.

Lives up to the hype

Super easy to install. Very easy to use. It looks great compared to other thermostats. When I leave, it stops sensing my phone and uses less energy to heat and cool my home. Easy to program a schedule and you can change the temps from the unit or if you're away, you can do it by your phone.
