The Nest Therm

I absolutely don't like this product for my home. It's smaller than I thought it would be and it's hard for me to adjust the dial manually - if needed. Also, I still can't seem to set it on a schedule of my preference using the app on my phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best thing since sliced bread

It’s a fantastic inventionGo to bed and the wife says it’s a little warmI just look at my phone app change the temp with out getting upI just love it I can control the temp from anywhere

If you want HVAC fan control, this doesn't have it

I am unfortunately fairly disappointed with this product. I LOVE Google. I have a full Google Home smart home set up, a Pixel 4XL, Stadia, Chromecast, and I use the assistant multiple times a day. So naturally I wanted the Nest Thermostat, too. Unfortunately, one of the biggest things I was looking forward to was being able to turn on or off the HVAC fan with my voice, and to set it on specific timers to turn on or off at a specific time, but I cannot do either of those things. The house fan controls are extremely insipid and are limited to turning it on for a pre set amount of time with a timer, and that is it. If you don't care about this feature, then the thermostat is great, although I wish I had the Learning Thermostat so I could use the Temperature Sensors to focus it on other rooms. All in all, the Nest Thermostat is decent, but it has very insipid controls and is overall disappointing from what I would expect from Google.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like the convenience.

When I called for help I received wrong information. I even sent picture for them to see and they verified the wires were connected properly. However, they weren’t because the wiring is older in my home and doesn’t correspond to their directions for installation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really enjoy it goes into eco mode when I'm away. Pretty easy to set up once wiring is done. Love that it can set cooler temps when I'm getting home. Helps a lot in South Texas.

NEST Thermostat

Works well for full time residence. Not so good for seasonal residences as there is no HOLD option on the settings. The thermostat basically has a brain of its own and adjusts temperature based on history of temp changes. It can be done but tricky with 3 steps involved.

Touch are too finicky

The touch on the sides are hard as its moves around too fast in the menu. 3rd Gen model had same functionality through dial. Its very finicky.
