This is a nice addition to my Google eco system. The app isn't as nice as the original home app, but it certainly does what is advertised.

Purchased and installed just a week ago.
So far so good. No issues. Looks attractive and sleek. Some effort needed to get it fully functioning, but not a big deal.

Easy to install! Works Great

Got this on sale, and with the Manitoba Hydro Rebate it made sense to grab one now.
I live in a one bedroom condo (new build) with electric heat and air.
The install was simple. Took under 30 minutes and did it myself. Be sure to turn off the breakers to your A/C and furnace during install.
Set it up with my Amazon Echos, and that works well.
The only thing I don't like is how reflective the screen is. It's like a mirror. I mean, it's fine. Just odd. Will take some getting used to (took one star off for that).
I do like how it shows the outside temp, and has a humidity monitor built in.
Guess will see how much in energy savings this thing brings!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works fine with heat but keeps cycling the A/C on and off. Not worth the money.

Won’t connect to my phone via Bluetooth during setup. Just keeps saying “something went wrong” and then kicks me out of setup. Won’t detect my C wire (my old thermostat works perfect) and the house was built in 2019 so apparently this Google Nest isn’t compatible with newer homes? Lol
You cannot use this without the app, so it’s now a $179 piece of junk.
I highly recommend buying literally any other thermostat.
Complete garbage. I’ll be going back to my old builders grade thermostat. At least that one works.

Very Amazing Smart Thermostat!!!

I bought 2 Honeywell Thermostats and the first one I bought was able to function my A/C when it was installed it but, when winter came, my heating wasn’t kicking in. I bought another Honeywell thermostat and the same problem occurred. My home didn’t have the C wire that caused the issue for both thermostats not to work. Had to put the original thermostat back on. My furnace was working fine for winter and when I switched to A/C mode, it wasn’t kicking in. My HVAC guy didn’t rewire the thermostat correctly and I was losing it!!! The summer has been brutally hot over the last 2 weeks. I saw the Google Nest Thermostat on sale and before I decided to purchase it, I watched some videos that inspired me to try and install this device on my own. I also bought the trim kit and performed a DIY. I missed a step when I snapped the the thermostat to the base as I wasn’t seeing any power to the thermostat. I didn’t realize there were 2 batteries that needed my attention where I had to remove a sticker. Once the thermostat powered up, I followed the instructions and it conducted a test. I heard my A/C compressor kicking in and my furnace fan going on. The Wi-Fi connection was also a success and I was jumping for joy!!! It’s amazing that I’m also able to control the temperature anywhere from my mobile device and that it goes into eco mode when nobody is home with presence sensing. I regret not buying this thermostat a few years back. It’s pure brilliance and I’m loving it!!!

Nest-Wi-Fi Thermostat

Extremely easy to install if you do the pre-work of compatibility with your system prior to buying it. I just followed a YouTube video. Love the flexibility and the fact that is works with my existing Google system and I can just operate it via Voice Commands__

Our HVAC system is only 4 years old. It was so easy to change and easy to program! Cool that we also got the enbridge coupon too. Working well so far.
