Problems to connect

I know that requires c-wire and that line has been added to my simple setup: heat only. It works few hours and start showing wrong temp: 8 degree more than real temp. I tied to reset it, it not help. After few days of fight it stopped working showing input voltage 5v. Multimeter clearly showing 26ac. Decide to back to old thermostat which working fine. This one is step down from prowls versions which were much better
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your Nest Thermostat relies heavily on the power it's getting from the common (C) wire. The 5 Volt input voltage reading that you get, is the input voltage coming from the common (C) wire, and is a good indicator that the issue is related to the common (C) wire not being able to provide the stable 24 Volt power needed by your Nest Thermostat. We recommend contacting the technician that helped install the common (C) wire on your system to further check on the issue and make the necessary adjustments to fix it. This is a great thermostat I would say to start with if you have never had a WiFi thermostat. Not to fancy, Perfect fit, works flawlessly.

Excellent and excited

Love this new thermostat and the functionality! My first experience with a smart thermostat. Super easy installation, connecting with my Google Assistant and navigating available functions. Mine was a 4 wire HVAC system and still, no issues! I would recommend for sure!!

We have a Nest thermostat both upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs thermostat is “offline” 75% of the time. While it still works, and we can still adjust the thermostat, it is not accessible through the app, which is part of the draw of having a smart thermostat. Its a lot of work to troubleshoot and get it back online each time this happens. It seems there is a different reason for it being offline each time. The downstairs Nest has never had this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This isn’t out first nest thermostat. We have always enjoyed having this system as it makes it so nice for hot or cold day to control all that’s going on with our home.

Sleek, functional, connected

Easy install on an HVAC that is wired as a traditional single or dual stage system. So far so good on reliability, although it has only been 2 weeks. I have another NEST thermo that has been operational for 14 months. Only gripe is that both thermostats will occasionally get into an 'offline' condition for up to 60 minutes - the thermo will come back online on its own (no user intervention)
