Good thermostat for the money

Easy simple to install and start working. Looks great, clean look. However, the back plate could have been designed better. Looks like a dish tray, LoL

Misleading - Doesn't Learn - Uses More Energy

I am a long time user of the google home suite and was excited to install a nest. After installing and seeing my utilities bill INCREASE significantly, I went and did some more digging. It would appear google is selling a few different versions of this thermostat and this one doesnt have the learning ability. Pretty annoying since it was an expensive product to begin with and does the opposite of what i want it to do. Now im left deciding if i spend a bunch more on the learning one or deal with the increased cost of energy this one is causing. Not cool (punny). Last thought is that the "learning" feature im lacking is mostly a software feature so pretty absurd that a software company (google) isnt including it in their most advertised model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest thermostat - works as advertised

Overall, works as expected. Installs relatively easily with backplate. The backplate seems to be curved backwards as it curves away from the wall which is weird. I guess it is just the way it was designed. It is not feature rich as you would expect from others but then again, this was the cheapest Nest thermostat. Easy to integrate with Alexa, works on app, and overall nice and clean appearance. The two parts I ding this for is the backplate (stated earlier) which you will most likely need because this thermostat is so small that you will see the wall markings from the previous stat. The other part is the manual fan. It has an option for a timer so it won't run all the time but if you want it on all the time, you have to "schedule" it in the app. Otherwise the data feedback is kind of cool too.

Not happy

I dont like it. I don't like the fact that I can't use it like a normal thermostat. Eco always kicks in I turn it off it turns back on. That should be a option to turn off if you don't want to use it. Like it changes the temp on its own 9 hate it. I dont recommend it to anyone. Choose another smart thermostat not this one

We'd recommend that you disable or delete any presets you have so that your thermostat doesn't automatically switch or change the temperature. Here are some steps you can follow:
While viewing your thermostat’s schedule:
1. Tap the day of the week that has the temperature you’d like to remove.
2. Select the temperature you want to remove.
3. Tap Delete. The temperature will be removed from the schedule for that day.

Attaching np, but they lose wi/fi constantly even w extender , too hard to work manually , easier w I phone when they stay online. Should of bought eco

Okay device, nuts it doesn’t work in Nest app

It works, but you will be extremely frustrated by Google’s decision that some are Nest things and others are Google Home things. I’m constantly fighting with the two apps. The thermostat is good, but I give an F to Google and Nest apps for total failure to align with my other Nest devices. I’m stuck with this junk, don’t buy it, you will regret it.

Almost Awesome

This is a great product, I love it, however, the manual adjustment function is not intuitive and oddly not easy to use. I’ve had the thermostat for about 60 days now, the app is the best way to control it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Nest Thermostat! It is great! I "learns" our schedule and adjusts the temperature accordingly. It is fully programmable and easy to adjust manually, if that is what you prefer. However, it also works automatically, if you are in to that. It can be easily adjusted from the app. on your phone as well, so keeping track of you home's temperature, is at your fingertips. I also love the look of the thermostat, very beautiful!
I would recommend this to a friend!
