Love the convenience of smart devices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s really easy to download the app and connect the thermostat. Inside the app, it gives step by step instructions on how to install it and which wires connect to what so you can do this by yourself. There’s also a built-in level so you can make sure you hang it perfectly. There is some stuff you’ll need to know like the heat fuel source and heating system you have at home. After it’s installed, it’s easy to control the temperature by sliding your finger on the device or adjust the temperature inside the app. The best part of a smart device is that you can customize the times you what the heat or cooling system to turn on and it can automatically turn off if you’re not in the house. Makes for a very convenient experience. Heat is also expensive so having a smart device can help you save money by automatically turning off or making sure you only use the eco mode.

I need training on how to use it.

My handyman installed it and I’ve forgotten how to use it. I’m in my mid-60s, so I need large print instructions for a simple, to-the-point video.

really good upgrade

Nest thermostat gives me peace of mind, I have an old furnace that is was prone to randomly faulting, there was nothing worse than coming home from a weekend trip to find my house at 20 degrees F and every pipe frozen solid. (side note: I fixed the issue by replacing the control module). But even with fixing the root cause of the issue I felt uncomfortable leaving my house unattended for any amount of time, so i decided to get this. I'm very pleased, installation was easy, the programming is a breeze and being able to use my phone's location to determine if I'm home is very good for conserving energy! the app will notify me if my furnace has issues, it really gives me relief. the only thing i would change if i could would be I want more data, i wish I could look at historical data of outside temps, inside temp and humidity as well as how long my furnace has ran. but that is a very small disappointment

Change your temp from anywhere!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVE the Nest Thermostat. Top Features: easily programmable through the app. No scrolling through days, times, and schedules manually... click and go right on the app! Change your settings from anywhere! After being away we were able to cool the house down for our arrival home. This makes a huge difference, being in the south. We are able to leave it a bit warmer, and cool off the house for the times we need it. Easy install! The steps are clear, precise, and easy to follow. We had it up and running in less than 20 minutes. Finally, the aesthetics are phenomenal. This thermostat is understated and elegant. I never realized how clunky and non appealing our other one was until this lovely replaced it. Gives the home a modern touch. I would highly recommend.

What a difference

I never realized that a new and improved thermostat could make a difference. Our air conditioning unit would run off/on continuously with a "thump" every time it would start. Now after installing the new thermostat, it never does that and it keeps the house at a perfect temp. The icing on the cake is we can control it from our phone...loving my new thermostat!

I have two nest thermostats and I could not be more pleased with the technology and control I have with the equipment. Easy to install as well. Took me under a hour to install and calibrate both in my home.

Really poor design

Setup was agonizing with Google Home app, preferred the Nest app but Google is unraveling a good thing. Nest E was good so was regular one...this thing is cheap and difficult to navigate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
