[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It makes me happy to see this fresh looking thermostat on my wall every day compared to the ugly old bronze one we used to have. So MUCH more cool! I don't handle a lot of the tech side, but my husband likes it, said it was easy to hook up and he can adjust from his phone. We're big on saving energy so it's really nice to be able to control the heat more than just a daily routine setting. Better for the environment and my bank account.Love it!

So un-intuitive and needlessly complicated

This new Nest thermostat is ridiculously bad. Unintuitive. Needlessly complicated. It really is a joke. Can’t wait to get rid of it and go back to my Nest e.

No connection to Google Home.

As the title says you won't be able to control the Nest with your Google Home app. You will be able to see where its set but not actually control the Nest from your phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the old Nest and the new Nest model. I feel the older model was more user friendly. The current model has to be used inside the Home app while the old one could be used in the Nest app. Setting a schedule to specific temperature is not allowed. Only Temperature ranges. Works okay for my purpose as it is only for the garage but would not want it for indoors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Google thermostat

For the most part we love it except the eco mode cause we work two different shifts I'm a third shift worker and my boyfriend is a first/second shift so someone is always home so when it goes into eco mode well sleeping it become uncomfortable also I have two dogs that can't take heat so it makes it harder for them as well
