No frills but works

Its pretty basic but has good programming options and works quite well. I have no complaints at all.

Functionality leaves something to be desired

Coming from a home where a Nest Learning Series E was installed, the functionality in the google home app is frustrating. Rather than learning the patterns the house is usually at, there’s only presets that you can place it at for times you think you would like that temp. For someone with critters at home that need a lower temp more consistently during the day but not so low as comfort, the programming can be difficult and time consuming. Install was easy, looks good on the wall but easily marks if you accidentally touch the mirrored finish.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The new Nest Thermostat doesn’t use learning/Auto-Schedule, it cannot automatically adjust its temperature schedule. But you can set a temperature schedule during setup and change it anytime you want using the Google Home app. Also, Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform, access to other Google tools and it provides you with seamless integration with your other Google devices.

Easy to install and use, Attractive on wall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great idea and product. First it is easy to install, Easy to connect wires to back with the push in connection. Unit is attractive on the wall and takes little space. Best of all with a little knowledge the unit is easy to use and operate. We love the ability to control the home environment via the internet. As we never have a regular schedule due to our employment the Nest Thermostat allows us to warm the home prior to our arrival and saves us money.

Works great install directions were ok.

Works great! Scheduling etc. through the app is easy. That being said the instal directions were confusing. And it was not the first thermostat I have installed. Once I finally found a diagram that matched my wires and brand of heat pump it was basically plug and play.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can not get it to work without C wire

Installed thermostat to two wire system but battery dean in couple weeks. Tried purchasing a 12 transformer that plus into wall and then runs wires to thermostat. Hooked it up as described in a couple web articles but, again, battery dead after a while. Removed thermostats and replaced with my old LUX GEO ones which will work with two wires plus wire from USB charger with micro USB end.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No lock code!!!

We have two nest thermostats in our house that are older generation and love them. Bought this one for my mother who has dementia because she is having trouble operating the thermostat and I monitor from afar. She kept putting on the emergency heat in the Summer in South GA! I needed a lock code and for some reason this functionality has been taken away on this model. Please do a software push to add this function back so I can keep my mother from accessing the thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cannot be added to the nest app

It would be better if this could also be added to the NEST app. However, it can be added to the Google home app. I can have my nest learning thermostat in the app, but this model cannot be added.
