[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Weigh to go, OXO! My old, stainless steel scale quit working after 8 years. I reached out to the company with low expectations and they stood behind their product! My new scale works well and I am sold on OXO's customer satisfaction focus.
Designed for professionals? Annoying for this amateur.

I bought this scale because professional reviewers said this was the best. Well, maybe it is, for them. For this amateur, it's really starting to wear on me.
It's supremely annoying to have the "off" button require holding down the power/tare button for 3 seconds. Maybe if you're a professional chef and never turn off your scale (or pay for your own batteries), this isn't a big deal, but I weigh a couple things and then I'm done with measuring. Either I leave it on (and wait 30! minutes for it to shut itself off), or I waste 3 seconds turning it off. All to save the cost of another button? I'll take the button, please. (It appears OXO used to make a scale with a dedicated button for this, but stopped.)
Where to cut costs, then? I've never once used the "pull out display" feature. I guess if you're a professional chef making 50 servings at once, this could be useful. For an individual making 2 to 4 servings, I don't think I own a bowl big enough for this to ever matter. It's just another loose piece that can more easily get broken over time. (OXO makes a kitchen scale without a pull-out display, and even have a video of someone baking with it, so apparently they don't think it's a big deal.)
Oh, and why is the tare button labelled "zero"? I've never used any electronic scale that used that word. You're just being weird. And why is the unit button labeled "lb/kg"? It technically supports those units but on this size scale you're probably going to be measuring grams or ounces. Again, not bad, but weird. For that matter, why does changing units (something I did exactly once when I bought the scale) have a big central dedicated button, but turning it off (something I do a couple times every day) not get one?
I assume this scale was designed with the "help" of professionals, and so we ended up with a scale that is aimed at professionals. I wish OXO made an amateur version of this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for a bridal shower. Love oxo products from personal use. Always great quality. Therefore wanted to make sure I shared oxo products as a gift.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All products that I’ve purchased from this company are fantastic . From the Apple core to the peelers, the scales, the Utensils , never had a problem very durable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to convert from ounces and grams. I can use 1 bowl to measure each ingredient. This scale is a must for sourdough starter feeding and bread making. Display pulls out for larger bowls. Cleanup is easy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for use when I am working with larger bowls. I can easily see the display by simply pulling it out from the scale.
