Issues with audio and screens flickering!

I've had this for a bit with minimal issues besides not putting out the correct audio. I have both my laptop and this device as default for sound, but this device doesn't play the sounds, only my laptop. I have tried switching settings to fix it, but it doesn't work. Now, when I am running multiple applications, I have 3 screens, it flickers and freezes my entire set up. This happens at least every half hour. For the price of this device, I shouldn't be having issues.

Watch out for Windows resources

I've been struggling with this adaptor's use of Windows resources. With dual screen you can see your Window's driver foundation CPU usage jump to 100% depending on the application you are using - or becoming unusable!

Perfect recommendation and communications

My laptop has HDMI output and could not find a splitter to extend to two monitors. I called StarTech support and this gentleman (Harish) guided me to the right product after some technical questions. AND, now not even using the HDMI just one of the USB ports!

screen flickering

can't get the mouse to stop flickering on both screens. does not happen when HDMI is plugged in directly.

Not good for dual monitors - I would welcome a sol

Bought this about 90 days ago, using with a Windows Surface 3 Pro, Hub and 2 monitors. I dont' know if the draw from the monitors is too much, but whenever I'm on a video call (Teams, Ring Central, Zoom, doesn't matter) it will freeze every 10-15 min and I have to unplug the adapter to unfreeze.

Exactly what I needed

I needed something that would allow me to connect an additional monitor to my Lenovo Ideapad 530S. It has an existing HDMI port but I needed two external monitors. This little device did the trick! It installed flawlessly and the additional monitor was recognized with no issues what so ever. Great product, fair price. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.
Kudos to Startech support that assisted me with the product selection. The tech was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction.
Use Case: This is for my wife's computer and she just needed additional real estate for desktop applications (word processing, browsing, zoom meetings, etc.) She's not a gamer or streamer so I can't attest to the performance if put under heavy load.

This Product works as expected - for Windows

I am using this for work and it is great. I tried to hook it up to my MacBook at home but it is not supported. It would be great if a driver exists for Mac to solve this issue
