Love, Love, Love. It replaced another that broke in less than 2 years. Much, much better in style, performance.

The Cadillac of Shredders!

OMG! I love this shredder! I have waited along time to purchase this item. It's everything I have wanted in a shredder. I have family and friends that own a "Fellowes" shredder. They also love it. I am so very impressed with the quality (heavy-duty), strength (accepts 8 sheets/easily), lock (to protect children), design (futuristic-look). This machine is amazing, and I always look forward to shredding my personal paper work. It is fun using this heavy duty machine!!!!!

Our old shredder died so we were looking for a new one. We knew we wanted to get a crosscut for better security and I started researching and reading all the reviews. A lot of them mentioned the Fellowes product line and that is what led to our purchase. We have only had it for a month but have used it quite a bit to catch up on shredding some old paperwork that had been piling up after our old one died. We have been very happy with the results - shreds well into small pieces, easily handles everything we have fed into it, runs fairly quite, and being enclosed cuts down on the paper dust. Ran some credit cards through it and it handled them as advertised, but did bog down a little bit. This model says it can handle up to 8 sheets but I would be hesitant to run that many through at once - we have run about 4 at a time which I feel is about the max without bogging down the shredder and straining the motor too much and reducing the life of the shredder. But overall - very happy and satisfied with the purchase!

This is a replacement for a former Fellows. Good quality and performance, compared to a supercenter brand.

Good for the Price

Find this shredder to be be adequate for the price range. Find that it "overheats" and shuts down too soon for my preference. This is my third Fellowes shredder, second cross cut, and my first would still be running if I could but find a power supply for it. Hate to tell you how old it is.

My wife and I decided to purchase a paper shredder for security reasons with so much identity fraud going around you have to be careful what you throw out. The p-48c cross cut shredder preforms as advertised. My 4yo. son and I spent the afternoon shredding old documents like credit card statements & medical insurance forms that had personal information on them. We were suprised how good it cut while cutting multiple pages. I felt the shredder was safe enough to allow my 4yo. to help. (supervised ofcourse) I do appreciate the safety features it comes with. The shredder will not operate if it is tilted or at an angle or moving,plus the paper feed area is too small for tiny fingers to fit into. I would recommend this shredder to anyone with children.

Do not know how good this machine will be

Had this machine only a couple weeks and it was working fine
All of a sudden it stater jamming up and the paper was actually stuck inside the hease.

It was time!

I've put off buying a shredder for many years. Last fall I sold my farm and moved to a condo in the city. On the farm I had a "burning barrel" where I disposed of all burnable trash. In town I have "pickup" once a week. Needless to say I felt it was time to invest in a good shredder to maintain my privacy! I looked around and choose yours. I've not regretted it for one moment. Thank you for a safe and reliable product.
