I bought my first roku player a few months ago and loved its easy, friendly interface so much I bought another one for a separate tv. So far no flaws in its hardware or software, it doesn't lag unlike a few other devices I've gone through. There aren't any intrusive ads in the interface and it doesn't have flash, distracting autoplay previews. Plus its interaction between the website and my device is absolutely flawless. Player comes with batteries, a smart mounting tape and a velcro cord keeper - all features that I greatly appreciate as a neat freak. Thank you roku!
I have 2 roku devices. For the past month, both have been losing connection to the modem. Roku community are also having the same issues. No, it's not the modem. I'd be in a middle of a show and it will lose connection. At times, like today, upon start up, it says no connection. Very frustrating. 30 min shows are 45 mins. It has been like this for a month now. Don't buy.
Receive June 7th. Returned June 9th. Only lasted 2 days before repeated error message channel unable to load. Plugged in Fire Stick worked just fine. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will be disappointed. Get a Fire Stick. Roku products are garbage. Plus I didn't receive HDMI cord in box Inferior product in everyday. Do not buy.
If you have an older 720 or 1080 TV with a USB port then the Express is perfect. Be aware, this model doesn't have TV controls on the remote or a 120V converter.
I purchased this several months ago to replace an older Roku that was working perfectly fine but decided to get a new one because the old one would soon be obsolete. It was a complete waste of money. It freezes up constantly and shuts down for no reason then reboots. The old one I’m still using on a different TV still works great. Don’t waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Deb, thanks for reaching out, we believe we can assist! Usually, this kind of behavior is due to the Roku player not receiving sufficient power. It's possible that there may be an issue with either the cable or the adapter. You can try using an alternate cable or power adapter to power the device. If you're currently using the TV as your power source, try plugging the device into a wall outlet instead.
