I wasn't too sure when I purchased one for my living room TV. However, it was so awesome I promptly bought another one for my son's room upstairs, and finally ended up getting another one for our cabin in Colorado!
Streaming live sports stream goes in and out. Can’t use 5G. Outdated device. No voice control

Hi, Erika Hutson. We appreciate your input! Please be advised that the Roku Express remote doesn't have a voice feature, as it is a simple remote. You can check our website for new devices at Roku.com. Other remote devices have a voice command feature and power and volume controls. Your feedback is very important to us. We hope this is helpful. Happy streaming!
I don’t understand why I have to replace the box every year…otherwise I love it.

Hi Tammy, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear you love your Roku! It's unusual that you need to replace your Roku device annually. Our products typically have a longer lifespan, and we offer a 1-year limited warranty to ensure any issues during that period can be addressed. For more detailed information on our warranty or to get step-by-step instructions for returns and replacements, please visit our support article here https://support.roku.com/article/208757058. If need any assistance along the way,
Wakes up consistently snowy background on Home screen requiring system restart. Even worse multiple times it would wake up and be stuck in a loop on the bouncing Roku screen and wouldn't go into Home screen. Factory reset including signing into all your apps again. Major pain. On off switch might help. Seems to get pretty warm just sitting there unused. Better more stable software would help too. It's plugged into power block, not tv. Had these exact issues on two of the Roku Express model.
1) Stuck in software update loop at initial power up. Finally found something about poor wireless connection possibly causing problem (which seems a bit sketchy to me, Roku developers, have you ever heard of checksums), and was able to move to different TV and complete the update. 2) Once I updated software, player refuses to boot on any TV but the one where update was performed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there, help has arrived! Your device may have insufficient power to get up. It is commendable to plug in your Roku device separately to a power outlet. Additionally, we need to consider the stability of your internet connection. Try to establish a connection to another network, like a Mobile Hotspot.
